Whats yalls thoughts on this ?? I guess my first question would be just how likely is it that we could be seeing this in our offense ? Better yet....how about a three QB system if you throw in Blake Sims and a possible "wildcat" type attack ? My personal feeling is that ive never had confidence in swapping QB's in and out....but I guess one could always argue that if it works....it works. Can anyone recall a "successful" two QB rotation ?

I go back a long way, so yes. Coach Bryant always believed in having two quarterbacks ready to play. You had Namath and Sloan (64), Sloan and Stabler, (65), Davis and G. Rutledge (72), G Rutledge and Todd (73), Todd and J Rutledge (75, 76), J Rutledge and Shealey (77,78) were on some very successful teams.

I think it would be a success if CNS chose to go that route. As for the 3rd QB, Blake Sims would probably only see 7-8 snaps a game if we used him in the "Wildcat". It isn't truly our offense. I know that there were cases where we jumped in it and ran it exclusively, ala SCAR in 09, but the pro-style single back, 2 TE is our style and MO. We use the "wildcat" as a change of pace similar to running the 2 minute offense to open the game.

IMO, the "Wildcat" is not as effective if you change personel to much when it is ran. In other words, I'd rather not see Blake Sims brought in as the Wildcat QB, and that be the only time he is used on offense.

As for as a standard 2 QB system, I'm not a big fan of it, but know that it can be successful.
