🏈 Two CRITICAL Observations.....

Southern Bama

McElroy ( while I applaud his success and achievements ) must need prescription glasses if he cant see a 300 lb. man running straight at him......and LSU needs to send a really nice care package to Milliner for not covering his man on the big third down....allowing ( pick six ) to throw it right to him. Gentlemen....our team just wasnt hungry this year...they deserve the loss.....and maybe we will get some hungry players to step up.

Capital One Bowl here we come..........

Couldn't agree more. We have all the weapons to make a drive like we did to score our last TD more often than a not in a game, but for whatever reason we don't get it in gear until it's too late. Not any one players fault...just a lack of urgency. It's Saturday & the the SEC...bring it, intimidate & dominate your opponent on every play. That said, we knew we were young & had a lot of tough road games this year. Saban will get the mental errors corrected with the young players & BAMA will be better for it.

Mccarron needs to get into some MMA training, maybe with GSP or Anderson Silva so he can preform a jodo toss or a quick strike to survive next season. Our O-Line has played like shizz at times and it seems they play like 4th graders when they need to step it up the most. This is on the o-line and the offensive coaches.

McElroy has been on the receiving end of an O-Line that has obviously underperformed this year....but the QB must understand that and may need to make adjustments to roll out...or actually run with the ball from time to time. He has run well in the past, maybe the coaches got on his azz for it.....because he chooses to take the big hits unnecessarily. He gets tunnel-vision really bad......but there is plenty of blame to go around....to include the defense and special teams too........along with some stale / vanilla offense that brings nothing new to any game. But Saban knows his chit and will address it.....if the kids are willing to listen and execute. If the O-Line cant dominate...obvioulsly they need to improvise and work around the weakness as best as they can. Alot of ball yet to be played and an opportunity to derail Auburns dream season....they can still have a great year.

IMO, there is plenty of blame to go around:

1. Poor blocking on the right side of the OL.
2. Once again not using the TE in passing.
3. DE or LB crashing hard inside on a 4th and 1 and did not stay at home for the reverse.
4. DB not rotating into a 2 deep coverage that resulted in a 75 yard TD reception.
5. 3rd and 13, deep in LSU territory and the DB in MAN coverage does not stay with his man.
6. DL moving around not in position as the play is starting.
7. Outplayed by LSU plain and simple.

The sad thing about the sack/fumble is that the guy was practicly crawling to GMAC when he slapped the ball out of his hand. You mean to tell me he cant react and dodge someone nearly on all fours coming at you?:lance:

As a quarterback, you are taught to read the secondary and keep your eyes downfield looking for your receivers. You are taught to "feel" the rush. If McElroy is looking at the rushers, he doesn't ever throw the ball to any of the receivers and is limited to dumping the ball off. Have any of you ever played quarterback at the college level? Playing in the backyard or at the local park with your buddies doesn't count!!

Feel....Sense.....look.......hear.......peripheral vision.......whatever ya wanna call it....and we all know QB sacks are going to happen....but standing flat-footed and a big azz dude crawling to you and slapping the ball out his hand just sucks...lol...And If McElroy is being taught to "feel" the rush..he aint feelin much lately  And please dont get me wrong...he has performed...in my opinion....very well since starting...but I think since the running game hasnt been there like last year, a little more has been put on his shoulders and its become a little more difficult for him. Hell....it aint like he was the QB on a Championship team or anything  He finished strong last year, and im hoping he does the same this year.
