🏈 Tua debut?

I know SLO and some others may think he's headed for the RS... But I see him getting in as early as the first half and for sure third quarter if things go well. I just can't see Saban not trying to get his backup ready when the starter got tackled 15 times last weekend.

That being said, I'm super excited to see what he can do. His throwing motion is so natural and he's got some confidence in his arm. Hoping he gets some snaps with the 1's for his and the team's sake.

Everything I'm hearing points to Tua getting his chance to spin it today.

I think he'll come in mid 3rd, or possibly 4th.

Two things:

1. Don't think they'll bring him in the first half, and give him enough time to possibly go 20-20 for 300 yards and 5 TD's. The last thing they want is the qb controversy that could create.

2. I'm sure they want to give Hurts, the wrs, and daboll plenty of reps.

If Hurts does struggle, (which I don't think he will) and Tua comes in and torches fresno...

In other news, Tua's 'little brother' last night........@CecilHurt Taulia Tagovailoa's day was done at half going 19-25 328 yards 4TDs 0 Ints.

Is he a senior? I saw on Twitter that local football broadcaster in area who has been around a Long time was quoted as saying 'he is best HS passer he'd ever seen'.

Wow....hope he is Bama bound....

Junior. Looking forward to seeing Thompson vs. Mountain Brook. Tagovailoa and Harold Joiner (4* RB from MB) on the same field.

I think your #2 is far more important than getting Tua game reps (after all, the next two games...). I'm more excited about the possibility of BOTH a Robert Foster and Jerry Jeudy receiving TD than a Tua passing TD right now.

Not necessarily... If Jalen goes down at any point this season... Tua would play. Right?

Of course.

But IF we don't see him, their GOAL is to RS him, barring a Jalen injury.

My thing is this... I just don't see them squandering a year of his eligibility for a potential one year as a starter. Jalen strikes me as a kid that won't bounce after 3 years, despite a good draft grade.

So if that does happen, Tua will only have one chance for being a starter for one year. I don't see Tua waiting it out that long for only 1 year.

Now if he DOES RS, he'll still have 2 years after Jalen leaves.

I don't think let him roll from the second quarter on... But getting him a series when it's a game would make sense. Let him play 1-2 series and bring him back out, let him finish 4th quarter. Something along those lines

I thought he did well. The moment was never too big for Tua and when Najee got in the way of a TD throw he showed a lot of leadership. With so many offenses from the best of the best college teams bogging down this weekend, it's good to know we have so much talent at the position.
