šŸ“” Trump plans to attend Georgia-Alabama football championship game

I was a kid when it came out--the original--and I don't recall listening to it in AM radio. Hell, I can picture the radio in my mind's eye. Five bands including AM, FM, UHF, VHF, maybe?, and Weather.

Wanna talk about a kids imagination? I can recall listening to Star Trek over the radio (via one of the VHF channels) as a kid and could see things as clear as if they were right in front of me. Well, except for some of the planetary exploration bits...but you get the picture.

It looked a lot like this one.

We had the multiple bands but in a console, with a record player and the big box speakers on each side.

Now in my dad's truck was just an AM radio. Mom's car was AM/FM/8 Track. All of this was when I was a kid in the 70's.

That was my only source of Bama football in my early years.

AJC reporting that a ā€œsafe spaceā€ will be available to anyone who may react strongly to the presence of Pres. Donald Trump at this year’s NCAA College football Nat’l Championship Game in Atlanta.

The ā€œsafe spaceā€ will be located in the upper deck in the south end of the stadium. Juice boxes and cookies will be provided free of charge, and reruns of Caillou and Doc McStuffins will be pre-loaded onto individual iPads that you can check out at any concession stand marked with a pink flag.

A friend of mine knows head of security for MBS. He had to scrap months of planning for this visit. Major heart burn.

I worked in the AirOps building at NAS North Island in the mid 90's while in the Navy, Air Force One was literally parked about 50' outside of our building. President Clinton visited numerous times. His buddy (whom he made an Ambassador of some country) lived out on Ocean Blvd. Snipers on the roof, security all over the place made things fun. Can't imagine what's it's like having to deal with securing a larger facility.

You might recognize him if you saw him. One of my business partners in the last bar was the head pilot for Marine One.

Speaking of Trump, loved the news yesterday. The guy who wrote the book said on GMA that he spent "significant time" with Trump during the election and White House time...later in the interview he said it was about "3 hours". I guess we have different opinions of what significant time is.

People are saying, he's worried this book will hurt his image, seriously, do these people read his tweets? People are so f'ing stupid.

People realize he was voted for because he's not a politician right and because Hillary is evil??

Rashaan Evans weighs in on Donald Trump attending title game
Alabama's star linebacker doesn't care who's in attendance for the title game, as long as the Crimson Tide win.

With Alabama and Georgia set to square off for the national title on Monday night in Atlanta, one of the popular topics discussed at the Crimson Tide's media day on Saturday was the fact that President Donald Trump is expected to be on hand for the game.

In addition to head coach Nick Saban being asked about the President's attendance, senior linebacker Rashaan Evans shared his thoughts on the matter, saying that he really doesn't care who shows up as long as the Crimson Tide come away with a win.

ā€œTo be honest with you man, I just wanna win. I really wanna win,ā€ Evans said. ā€œAt this point I don’t care who shows up. I mean, ISIS can show up, I don’t care. I wanna win. As long as we win, that’s the No. 1 thing that’s on my mind."

But Evans does believe the President's attendance speaks to the magnitude of the game.

ā€œI think it is very unique, the fact the President is coming to this game," he continued. "I think that shows you the type of caliber game that this is and the significance of it, the fact that a President is actually attending this game. Just the fact that I’m able to be a part of it, to be able to play in another national championship, it’s one of those great things.ā€

Alabama and Georgia are scheduled to kick off from Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Monday night at 8 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on ESPN.
