only other time i can think of a sitting President attended a game that Alabama played in was back in the 60s, when President Kennedy attended the orange bowl between Bama and oklahoma.

I was a kid when it came out--the original--and I don't recall listening to it in AM radio. Hell, I can picture the radio in my mind's eye. Five bands including AM, FM, UHF, VHF, maybe?, and Weather.

Wanna talk about a kids imagination? I can recall listening to Star Trek over the radio (via one of the VHF channels) as a kid and could see things as clear as if they were right in front of me. Well, except for some of the planetary exploration bits...but you get the picture.
