Well, my hobby can do all 3. Making things out of wood can help keep my brain juices flowing. And moving around the shop and lifting heavy pieces of wood (among other things) is decent exercise. And I can sell stuff I make for money.
But it only does one of those things for me. I can get SOME exercise from it, but having a bad shoulder and 2 bad knees means I can't lift heavy things like I used to be able to do. And I don't sell anything I make; mainly because I just make stuff for family members or for myself. Nothing I make would really bring me any money. But I'm OK with that. I just like woodworking and being out in my shop. And I like making things for my family. That's why I do it. But it does help keep my creativity going. So I got that going for me...which is nice.
I like the question but they all have a "yes, but" answer so far.
I love my bike and spend time on it every day I can. I really got into it when I was in school at UA. So much easier than parking. It turned into a hobby, quickly. That fills my exercise but it's also part of my work day. From marketing plans to figuring out where errors were in coding...A LOT has happened while getting in six or seven miles in a few minutes. There's creativity as well.
I don't make any money here. I've used little tricks I've figured out here on work projects. Creativity strikes again with "I should be able to do that, but how...?"
You know how much I love working around the house, projects, and the like. These are hobbies. Now, a put a storm door on the deck side a few years ago and called a friend to help. I paid him. I could have done it myself. He put in a wood floor recently and called me. He paid me. I've put in a handful because I enjoy the work, so it's a bit of a hobby. I've cut around two brick fireplaces ... that took creativity the first time.
Fun question for me.
Ah, cookin' ... more than a handful of daily specials when I was in that business. Creativity and $ while doing 12 oz curls.
I have multi hobbies! Although some aren't finish.
1. wood craving!
2. drawing!
3. Photos!
4. RC Planes!
5. Ceramics!
6. You see and I can add more to this list.
The thing is I found out that I had attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Thing is I wasn't told I had that until I was already a grandfather.
I have the wood and drawing right next to me. The other were mostly when I was in the army.
I don't have the patience to finish any of them.
At my age now, my job is my hobby, so yeah, I make money doing it. My schedule is super flexible, I get to travel a little and see a lot of the country. Still play golf, just not as much as I would like and I enjoy the grilling/cooking.
