🏀 🏆 SEC Men's Basketball Tournament -

Curious to see how intensity level tonight. It's been the biggest reason we've been so inconsistent, but Oats has preached since day one March is where he coaches the hardest to get our guys to play their best basketball. Quinerly and Gary stepped up huge last season. Would hope we get someone like Gurley really step up and take over games.

Wouldn't be surprised if we're 1 and done here, Also wouldn't be surprised if we win by 20. I would be surprised if we shoot over 25 to 28% from the 3 point line.

To me this is part of the problem, this comment seems to say it is ok for your intensity to be conditional. Take lessons from Saban coach hard every day and consistently regardless of the game/opponent. Coach and play to a standard that does not change by external factors.

Not that I disagree, but Oats is pretty intense and it's obvious he's coaches hard. I watched the SEC Inside episode on Alabama the other night and you can tell he's frustrated with this group based on their attitude. But I think he still coaches them hard and demands a lot out of them, especially the upperclassmen. I don't think that's been an issue. Where Oats needs to take a different approach is learning how to communicate with his guys to build better chemistry.

We can beat a old dead horse, but there's internal issues within this roster. It's on the coaches and the players. It is what it is, and it's not going to change this year.

Agree on nothing changing this year with this team. I was just commenting that Oats said "March is where he coaches the hardest". I have not heard him say that myself.

This game as well as the first NCAA tournament game could go either way. If the high school offense, making 3’s is working, they will win. If not one and done in both. However, Big Weekend for softball. The Tide and Tigers!!!!

An offense patterned after the NBA style of play is now a high school offense?

I was not bashing the offense. Just an opinion of whether or not it will be working in the game against Vandy and first game in NCAA tournament. If it’s working and they put up 40 3’s and make 65% (as they have at times this season) they can beat anybody in the country.

I'd rather see us shoot 100 threes and shoot 20% than watching us drive the lane and turn it over one more dang time.
