šŸˆ Trivia: When is the last time Bama had 4 shutouts in a single season?

I finally got a chance to look this article up.

Nov. 10th recap of 3-0 Bama win. It could have been on Saturday afternoon, either the morning or afternoon game, and been televised. But, LSU wanted the game at night, in Baton Rouge.

Interesting note contained in the article is LSU never made it past the 43 yard line in our territory. And, teammates talk about how long it had been since LSU had been shut out.

Nov. 10th, 1979 article from the Tuscaloosa News.

And we won the NC as well.

Yup, that's the direction I was going. The last time Alabama had 4+ shutouts in a season, was 1979. They had 5 in 1979, also the last Alabama back to back NC seasons.

Below data from > http://www.rolltide.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/112412aaa.html
• Alabama posted its fourth shutout on the season. The four shutouts in a single season are the most for the Tide since the 1979 season.
• Three of Alabama’s shutouts came in games at home, the most since 1979 and the seventh time in the Tide’s history to post three shutouts in home games (1934, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1979 and 2012).
