Nov. 10th recap of 3-0 Bama win. It could have been on Saturday afternoon, either the morning or afternoon game, and been televised. But, LSU wanted the game at night, in Baton Rouge.
Interesting note contained in the article is LSU never made it past the 43 yard line in our territory. And, teammates talk about how long it had been since LSU had been shut out.
Check out the 1961 team, which had six shutouts in 11 games (including the bowl game) and seven straight games in which the opposition did not score a touchdown. National Cahmpions, also.
Yup, that's the direction I was going. The last time Alabama had 4+ shutouts in a season, was 1979. They had 5 in 1979, also the last Alabama back to back NC seasons.
