In the first quarter I mentioned something that is still with me, and that is that the game reminded me somewhat of the Fiesta Bowl in 1991. Going in, we were heavy favorites to beat the Louisville Cardinals. Alabama matched up well at virtually every position, yet Schnellenberger’s D1A independent Cardinal squad scored quickly and Bama never recovered. A parallel could also be made to the loss against Florida in 1992, when Alabama was overwhelmed - even though talent was there.

Great read.. especially the part that Utah will be an after thought! and I believe they will at some point in the next 3 years when we are hoisting our 13th National Title...

Nobody picked us to win the west this year period I think that has been lost on the rest of the country...

12-2 SEC west champions... ended losing streaks to LSU 5 games and the Barn 6 games... #1 recruiting class and top 5 this year our future looks bright indeed! RTR!


PS... Our 2 losses came to the National Champion Florida Gators and to the best mid-major team ever....The Utah Utes
