10 for UT? I can see that.

35 for Bama? I think that's a touchdown high...

My initial thoughts were along those lines, but the more I looked at UK's defense and their opponents this season, the more I think we match up better against them than we did with SC or Ole Miss...even UK for that matter.
Some UT fans have suggested that they match up well against us. I don't see it.

If UT is unable to get us off the field and generate something offensively, it could be worse than 35-10. I don't see them stopping our running game unless they bring their secondary up. If that happens, I don't think they can stop our passing game. They sold out against the run with Ohio and held Ohio to 22 yards rushing - but gave up over 300 yards passing. We are better than Ohio.

The most success anyone has had against our defense was with screens and short passing, but that has been inconsistent. Crompton has had issues with making quick decisions. I just can't see it being close.

Edit: I said UK's defense, I meant UT...but UK has a better defense.

Both teams have very good placekicking, with Tiffin currently ranked #3 among placekickers, and UT’s Daniel Lincoln playing in his 16th season at Tennessee.

There's always one on each team that seems to NEVER graduate and Lincoln is certainly one of them. Too funny!

Wasn't Quinton Groves at the Barn for 15 years or so?

Good write up man. I look forward to seeing UT's offense versus our D!

The biggest reason I think that 35 number is high has to do with how we've played the last few weeks.

I don't mean the bad aspects people have complained about. What I mean is (using UK and OM as two example...and to a degree South Carolina but I haven't studied those numbers) I believe we go to our clock killing game at the beginning of the second half.

In the second half of those games, we've thrown on average about five passes in the second half...ran the ball the rest of the time.

That takes a good sized lead in the first half...and it's sat on.

If you look at UT's season, there are two games that stand out to me: The Florida and the Ohio game. (Nope, that's not a typo)

What I see about the Florida game is the fact that UT focused on the run and UF got their second highest passing yards (208) against an SEC defense this year.

Ohio is averaging 195.1 yards passing and 161.6 yards rushing. Against UT they had 319 yards passing and 21 yards rushing. Now, I did not watch the game but looking at those stats it appears that either the greater focus was on the run or that Ohio abandoned the running game. Either way UT gave up 124 more passing yards than the teams average.

My point is this: if UT focuses on Bama's running attack there should be a great deal of opportunites for the passing game. That coupled with the fact that Bama is averaging 34.5 points per game leads be to side with Big_Fan and think that 35 is about right if not a little low.

Just my .02.

Thank them for bringin up the helmet and celebration at the end of the game. On many forums it's already being thrown about. The clock was at 0:00. for those other fanbases that are clueless, that means end of game.

Wrong. Sorry about that. The play is not over until whistle blows & as long as there is a live ball (which it was) then the whistle shouldn't have been blown.

If the flag had been thrown; the penalty would've been enforced b/c the game cannot end on a penalty. UT would've had a second chance. IMHO, they should've.

Sorry way to end the game.

Cody could have very well won & lost the game in one play.

The ball crossed the line of scrimmage, it wasn't a "live ball" anymore AND the clock had run out...

You are way wrong.

Even if it HAD been a penalty, it would have been enforced as a dead ball foul.

Bama ball.

15 yard penalty.
