| RECRUIT Transfer Portal tracker (Winter Window for Alabama has closed.)

This should explain everything to why pritchett had to go:

Alabama pressures (sacks, hits, hurries) allowed in 2024, per PFF:

Elijah Pritchett: 31
Kadyn Proctor: 13
Jaeden Roberts: 11
Tyler Booker: 10
Wilkin Formby: 8
Geno VanDeMark: 7
Parker Brailsford: 7

That's interesting but semi-weird approach you're talking with this one. Look at ton of players who came to Bama with 3 stars who exceled at Alabama, NFL and etc.
Not sure how it is weird to say statistically speaking the # of studs that can play at Bama from a lower division school unlikely but what do I know. Out of all the recruits that came to Bama only a handful fit into this category over the last 18+ years. Only one Josh Jacob that I am aware of.

These guys may be studs and hope they are. Given where they are coming from they should really appreciate the opportunity to be at Bama which is great. Of course I think every player should think that way even 5 star guys but with NIL that is not the case.

I disagree with that. Few chimed in and Jacob isn't only one.

One of those does not belong with the others in this argument.
I don't know why he says that. They're on the list.
Eddie Jackson, Kareem Jackson, Rashad Johnson, dre Kirkpatrick, chance warmack, Quinton Dial, theres a TON more of names that fit this category.
Dj Hall, Bradley Bozeman, anthony steen, Eddie jackson, Terrence Cody, Mac Jones.

@mando That's why I am having hard time understanding your point.

Of course there are a few others just used Jacobs as an example. I think we are talking past each other. The reference I initially commented on was finding diamonds in the rough from places like Utah State and Ball State is unlikely. In other words kids from smaller colleges or came out of nowhere to become studs at Bama.

These guys did not fit into the category of coming from the Utah and Ball State type programs. They may fit 3* but not what I was referencing. Probably confused things referencing Jacobs but he was a diamond in the rough for sure.

Umm, I understood what you were trying to say, but It just not adding up to what you're trying to say. the utah guy is a diamond in the rough. he may turn out to be something. His potential is there.

I was just surprised to see us getting commitments from places like Utah State and Ball State. Not where I would expect the the best talent to come from for a place like Bama. Nothing more complicated than that. Doesn't mean they will not be great.

I think Arkel Anugwom a pretty unique situation. I guess if I had to compare it to another signing, it would be like Jesse Williams. A guy that was overseas, somewhat new to football, but started to really get some attention after he came to the US and played in JUCO. Alabama got on him and secured a commitment. The rest is history. Now, Williams was probably a better overall prospect that Anugwom is right now, but there's some similarities in their paths. And I have no clue what Anugwom's ceiling would be if it all clicks and he develops well, but the staff obviously liked him a lot. And frame/measurement wise, he reminds me an awful lot of Cyrus Kouandjio. If he can get anywhere close to his level of play, Bama made a really smart move.

Here's the thing.. Take the focus away from where the player came from.... Focus on the player's development. that's the key.

Let me give you little history:
What school did the players attended before landing in NFL?
Jordan Love
Bobby Wagner
Nick Virgil
Patrick Scale

Hint: Utah State

SO, I'm saying, Don't think about where they came from.

I have real good feelings about Arkel Anugwom and his chance to contribute on the field. Also, take a look at transfer portal, I noticed some players are coming from small school and transferring to FBS school, which is a show of confidence.
