These are children. I just don't see having these type of expectations to all the sudden want to thrive in competition. They'll wilt. They won't get better when somebody challenges them or stands up to their childishness.
Hell, the NFL, NBA, & MLB all have teams with super high expensive rosters (over the cap in many instances) that rarely ever pan out to anything at all. And these are grown men, with grown up problems, still not doing well on the field.
I truly hope CKD understands he will not have a championship winning program that caters to these kids or to their pimps that are extorting everyone, especially the kid.
you're going down the rabbit holes.... with NIL. Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Michigan, and others they operate differently than alabama is.

That’s pathetic that schools are bowing down in that manner to these kids. Sounds more like a Brittany Spears contract than a college football player. Pathetic. What school made him the offer, do we know?

To be clear, I am saying that teams like previously mentioned, AND Texas, AND Texas A&M, AND Ohio State, have yet to produce anything of consequence on the field when paying players that way. Someone might say Michigan but they didn't start slinging millions until this year starting w/ Bryce Underwood.
Many folks are up in arms about how other programs are 'taking our players' with these type of enducements & all I can say is take them. This was an easy way for us to cut loose players that really don't get it & find players that want to be here. Players that understand the Alabama brand & how it can impact them for the better. ALONG WITH the fact that 'Bama gets players ready for the BIG payday of NFL Draft better than anybody.
Side Note: I can appreciate how Greg Byrne's request for more money is a bit tone deaf & maybe the average fan is not his target audience on this request. But we are not going to be able to compete with a handful of schools BIG money. It simply isn't going to happen. Now it doesn't mean we can't put together a good NIL package for the roster. But Texas & A/M, pffffttt, forget it.
I don't know what he is doing at this point.
We're in the mix for a few of these guys, we aren't taking all of them we don't have the spots for all.

People want to play for him.., He is considered a real GOAT… He said he would have an NFL program on the college level.. He will draw some of the best players and defections… in the next two years..

Does a kid want to go to a program that will get him into the pro? Does he want to go to a program that the coach will get him into the pro?
I don’t know if Bill Belichick is a college coach or not… but he is offering an NFL program, which is very intriguing to some of these players… and the fact that he is one of the GOAT’s is even more intriguing to a lot of people… we will see where this ends up..

The GOAT is obvious…Greatest NFL coach ever.. UNC is getting a massive amount of attention, because of the hire… He is contacting big time transfers and recruits and some are listening..Early recruiting is over, but I bet UNC finishes very strong…and a Top class in 26..
