šŸˆ Total number of SEC bowl wins? The number is set at 6½. Which side to do you fall on this season?

If I heard them correctly, I believe the SEC—according to ESPN's FPI—is projected to win more than 6½. GMac put his number at nine wins.

I see six I feel good about, so that means we would need to see one upset in my mind to win the bet.

I see Auburn, South Carolina, Alabama, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, and Georgia as good possibilities.

Kentucky has the ability to beat Penn State, Florida could clamp down on Michigan and with a depleted defense could score, and Missouri could catch fire like they can.

Not a bet I would feel comfortable making unless I just had a hundo to throw away.

I feel good with 5 wins from that lot. Unless we count Bama winning again in the finale... Then I see 6.

2017-18 we only had 9 teams qualify. Record before NC game was 4-5

2016-17 we had 12 teams and record before NC game of 6-6. The conference just hasn't fared so well in bowl season.

It’s hard to find 7 wins in that list , with any confidence . Hope I’m wrong but motivation will play a large factor and you know the opposing teams will be gunning for the mighty SEC and give maximum effort .

"Mighty SEC" and "6-6" might not be hot dog and mustard one could say..
Really...where are the games that are stimulating....exclude Bama...
UGA-TX ( dont know why....though)
Missouri-ok State ( that could be shootout)
LSU-UCF ( just cause?)
About it

Going strictly by the chalk, the SEC is favored in nine of the 11 games, four by two scores, all more than a field goal.

Tie breakers aren't included in the conference standings. Going strictly from conference standings the SEC isn't in head to head matchups--often, technically, an underdog. (SEC #7 vs Big 12 #6)

@50+yeartidefan, the closer we get to the game, UCF is one. Auburn, another. With so many not playing, suspensions a yearly occurence, it's one of those things you can never get a great feel for. At least I have struggled at times.

There are some intriguing matchups. Okie State's offense with Gundy calling the plays versus Missouri's with Dooley.
