🏈 Tornado in Tuscaloosa - Y'all Check-In!

I hope and pray everyone from here is safe. Anyone heard from Brandon?

I have an extreme fear of tornadoes. Now I know why. That video above is literally my worst nightmare. My prayers are with all of Alabama tonight.
 
read a rumor that chris jordan is missing..

this is a heart breaking situation.. as a parent i could not imagine knowing that my child was in the path of this storm and not being able to get in touch with them..

i am extremely saddened by this..

I pray this isn't true. I've seen rumors as well about athletes missing. I haven't seen any names until now. Again, I hope and pray these are nothing more than rumors. It's going to be hard to sleep tonight. I'm so concerned about the entire Tuscaloosa community.

Praise the Lord. I just have to hope that the breakdown in infrastructure and communication is the reason behind so many missing. I pray tomorrow brings better news. Cecil Hurt tweeted that former Alabama football player Shannon Brown's daughter (a UA student) is missing. Remember them and all others in our prayers tonight.

I doubt if a lot of folks have power in the affected area. Checked on my Dad up in North Alabama and many folks up there, including them, are without power because of wind damage to the TVA power lines coming off the main grid--at least that's what they've heard via radio.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all who have been in harm's way last night and today.
 
I have had contact with Porter, he is fine, His wife is fine, I talked with her and got a text from Brandon. I have not heard any other news about anyone else, She said Tuscaloosa was hit real bad, and Brandon said that it looks like a bomb went of around the Mall.
 
Been hard to reach folks since the storm hit. Power is out all over the city, and where I'm at what few cell towers remain are constantly jammed. As for the tornado, the only thing I could personally compare this to is the destruction that Ivan caused, but this is worse and different. For those that know of places like Milos, Full Moon BBQ, and such... Imagine the buildings being bombed and razed. That is what they look like, as do so many others and countless homes. I can't imagine how anyone could have lived through the path of this tornado in terms of a direct hit in a house/apt or restaurant sized structure. It was a monster. Prayers to all if those who were displaced, and especially those injured and lost... And there were many.
 
I watched that storm approach the middle of Tuscaloosa live on the 33/40 sky cam. It looked like some monster from the very bowels of hell.

Glad you are safe, Brandon. We were praying for you and the Mrs.
