I think he makes some changes in his staff and saves his job for two more years, if the changes do not work. Anything less than an ACC title in the next two years and he is gone.

He's announced today that Harper isn't getting the start against GT but they are going with Willie Korn.

Just to add a note or two...

I've got to say Tommy didn't handle this one very well, at all.

I listened to a bit of his teleconference today wondering what he would say regarding the team's performance last night.

Nothing.

All the comments were revolving around Korn and Harper. One question that was asked had to do with how the conversation went with Cullen Harper when he was told. As it ends up, he hadn't been told.

Bowden said that OC Spence had been trying to call Harper on his cell phone but hadn't reached him as of yet to tell him they were going with Korn next week. So, this is announced in a press conference without the player even knowing about it? Yeah, that's a guy that is in charge of his team.

Here's the thing. Bowden said that the decision was made based on game film from last night. I can understand that to a degree. But, I have to wonder what on earth he saw that suddenly made him think that Korn could provide a spark (his words, not mine) when that thought never occured to him last night. (again, his words, not mine)

I see no reason to believe anything other than this was a move to appease: fan base, Administration, his AD, you make the call.

One coach fires his OC, another benches his QB. Both, in hot water with their fans.

He didn't handle the situation at punter well either. No one will ever know this, and I wouldn't had my neighbor not told me (their son punts for Clemson). It wasn't dealt with properly at all.

Now I suppose Tommy will probably just join his brothers Terry, Jeff, Alec, Daniel, William, and Billy on the sidelines at ESPN.
