🏈 tip of the hat to Danielson

I don't like either of them.

One telling incident, for me anyway, was when the LSU player attempted to return a kickoff from the end zone and the old guy, Verne?, muttered, "No, no, no..." as if he was in pain. I thought both of them pulled for LSU all night.

I'd ask them to pain their faces purple and gold but I'm afraid they'd want to show me their boobs.

uhhhh noone was against us, he was saying that because it was a bonehead move. did anyone think that was a great idea? 5 yards deep in the endzone, then he stutters, and finally takes it out. Everyone could see that coming and that was Verne's reaction. Noone was "pulling" for LSU in that game other than the LSU fans.

Honestly, I'm not the type to be hypersensitive to these kinds of things, but I totally thought Verne (in particular) was being annoyingly... "involved"? I don't want to say anti-Bama or pro-LSU, but you could almost tell they were becoming giddy at the prospect of somebody finally knocking off Bama. I don't think it's because they're anti-Bama, but they're just waiting to see who it's gonna be that finally manages to derail us.

With about 2 (or 3? can't remember) mins left in the game, right at the point where tensions were the highest for Bama fans everywhere, that rankings graphic of all the 8-0 teams came up and I almost threw something at the TV when Verne said, "and one of those will have a 1 next to it shortly" or something to that effect. Towards the end, they were becoming largely dismissive - noticeably and annoyingly so - of any chances Bama had of scoring again. They know who our coach is!!

Everyone in the nation was pulling against Alabama in the LSU game, even Vern and Danielson mentioned how many people would love to see Alabama lose...

If or when Alabama ever loses again there will be a lot of "high-fiving" going on among college football fans all across the nation just like when we lost to South Carolina back in 2010.

Let's face it we are the most hated school coached by the most hated coach in America and as Coach Saban would say, "It is what it is"

Personally, I wouldn't have it any other way because we all know why they hate us, don't we?

They don't have to like us, but By-God they are going to respect us!

By NO ONE (since certain smartasses want to be grammar nazis tonight) I meant the announcers/analysts/talking heads/etc., a lot of the FANS across the country are against us but its primarily an anti-SEC sentiment at this point wanting it to be someone else from another conference and Notre Dame, K-State, Oregon fans rooting against us is understandable. My point was neither Verne or Gary had any stake in the outcome of that game (and if we wanna get technical what's a bigger storyline, undefeated Alabama vs. 11-1 Florida in the SEC Championship, or a rematch of LSU and Florida with likely neither one having a possibility at the NC game, as far as ratings for CBS go? y would they root against us?). A lot of fans (not just Bama) for some reason think that the commentators in every game are out to get that team. I get annoyed with both Gary & Verne (especially Verne) just like everybody else but it has nothing to do with them being "against" Alabama.

Chill people. We won. This is the greates tBama board and with the best members, we are all here for Bama not to beat each other up. Let's put our energy in to beating TAMU. It will be an even greater challenge.

I'm reminded of a lady who knocked on my door years ago asking me to sign a petition meant for the local ABC station to take NYPD Blue off the air. It was a simple, "no thank you. If you don't like the show, turn the channel."

If the announcers upset you so much, use the mute button.

Setting that aside, I always wonder how many of those complaining have ever watched a game in a bar setting? I wonder if there is more attention paid to what they are saying versus the action on the screen. This isn't a talk show folks, it's a football game.

Who the hell cares what the announcers are saying? No, let me change that. What does it matter since so many seem to care?

I don't recall a mention at all of a "Honey Badger type play"

and a thank you to Verne for not calling Cody Mandell "Cory" all night

Cory got me to smirk.

I had to shake my head and laugh a bit at Clinton "Ha-Ha" Dix. That one got a "Damn Verne."

The day one of the announcers has something to do with the scoreboard, the play clock, the game clock, a penalty on the field, etc.

Then, I MIGHT start giving a damn.

For now, I'll just shake my head and laugh a bit at those up in arms about nothing.

9 o'clock, parking lot at apple bees, be there...:uglystick:

Again with the fast food, frozen food out of a box restaurants. :lance:

Quite frankly, considering all their bars are located in the middle of the restaurant, it'll be too hard to watch anything outside over the tables.

Pick a Hooters. The food still sucks, but most have an outdoor eating area.

I think pretty much every Alabama fan is more passionate about the Crimson Tide than any broadcaster is EVER going to be, save our own radio broadcasters.
Verne and Danielson do a bit better than they used to (because there is more respect for Alabama now) but they will not announce a game "pro-Bama", ever.

Verne and Danielson aren't pro-LSU, or even anti-Bama per say, imo, but they most certainly aren't pro-Bama.
Only Bamas fans are. Plus, would you want to claim either one of them as Bama fans? I wouldn't.
Just my .02 cents
