My dad was a senior in college at the time and he said there were protests/sit-ins at his college in PA. Finals got cancelled.

I remember that book! Wait, what does it have to do with the Kent State shooting? It's been a while and I only remember bits and pieces .. Like the monkey dying, and then of course, the sad ending.

It does have a sad ending, but my gifted conceptual gel is choices. Fits in pretty well. And everyone loves the book...til the very end.
