Don't you just love rivalries? While BAMA baseball has been struggling at a near record pace, the Barn has been coasting along sitting as high as #4 or #9 in the baseball polls and looking forward to hosting a regional. Then this past weekend comes along!!!
BAMA sweeps a DH on Saturday 4-3 and 7-6. Now the Barn is in jeopardy of losing a regional. Last nights marathon game, 15 innings, surely knocked the Barn out of hosting a regional! The TIDE wins last night 11-9!!

I'll shave my 'stache.

The team is what now ...

I'm not sure who to put this on. There's now way talent was that barren, right?

I expected some struggles while a new coach was trying to install his style and culture, but I didn't quite foresee the slide that's occurred this season.

Maybe last night was the turning point.

I'm not the biggest baseball fan out there, so I couldn't give a solid educated analysis, but those are just my views from a distance.

Buying in to Goff's "process" and dealing thru the injury bug hasn't helped this team but there is some talent on the roster. Seeing them win some 1 run games instead of losing them, is refreshing. Still see some things that make me question the hire, running a kid out of the pen last night after throwing 65+ pitches the night before makes you wonder just how those arm injuries occurred.

Bama baseball is like a magazine subscription you don't cancel, but don't 'necessarily read every month. Thanks to a few friends, I keep up.

I'm not a fan of Goff's approach. I am a fan of small ball, error free baseball. That's Goff's approach, it appears. I want to watch practice. If I could, I'd say I've got a right to voice an opinion.

As a fan, not knowing the direction of the program troubles me.

I'm starting to feel guilty. We are soon scheduled for an up close and personal inspection of the Atlanta Braves new home. The way their pitching is looking (worst ERA in baseball) should be some premium seats for cheap. Maybe a few more 40 something pitchers will make the trade deadline and save the season.
