🏈 Tide Ranked #2 in Both Major Polls

never until now have i thought or complained that we should've been ranked above LSU, because there was no doubt they deserved it.. but this week, i don't understand why we aren't #1

I wouldn't mind them dropping us down a couple of spots. Say to about #5 or #6. But, I will say this, I hope our team has the same exact attitude that you have. Like they still have something to prove, and keep that chip on their shoulder.

with a solid game next week i think we will be #1 in the first bcs poll.. we are #2 in the coaches, and #1 in sagarin.

well actually the coaches poll still has oklahoma #1 and that's such a joke. i don't even think anyone at oklahoma believes they wouldn't get STOMPED by either of us. and not to mention, they've only even played 4 games and we've both played 5... what sense does that make?

I know, I have no idea why anyone cares what we're ranked... I mean, Auburn until now was unranked and they STILL controlled their own destiny-- We keep winning we go to New Orleans, who cares what we're ranked...

The only reason LSU and Bama are ranked #1 and #2 is because the pollesters know they play each other later in the season and that gives them wiggle room to move Oklahoma, Boise St. or Wisconsin up to play in the national championship game.

I would expect after this week LSU to still be number one, but I would not be surprised if OU jumps back over us to claim #2. They have a big game against #11 Texas, while we play Vandy at home. LSU has Florida. Both of those team have "tougher" games than we would appear to be playing in this week. As long as we stay in the top 3, I'm tickled pink. Ordinarily I would say it would be great to be #4 or 5, but with Boise St hovering around the top 5 playing the likes of Prattville High School on a weekly basis, I don't want to go any lower right now. The media will have enough of a field day come the end of the season when BSU is left on the outside looking in, once again.

Another team to keep your eye on is Wisconsin. They looked good against Nebraska, and really there is no one in the Big 10 that will be a challenge. Michigan, might sneak up on them, but I highly doubt it. The only thing they can hope for at this point is that OU, Alabama, or LSU loses in order to put them in contention. We know that Nov 5 with be a play in to the SECCG and most likely, the way the east is looking, on to the MNC. Anything can happen, and we are only half way through the season, but I like where we are and where we are headed.
