I have seen a number of people talking about how winded Clowney has been tonight (had to leave when it was 17-7). The talking heads were making a big deal about how he was in the best shape of his playing career... One thing may have been the heat. The ESPN crew showed an on the field thermometer that read well above 100 degrees.

Damn I wanted Vandy to hold onto that. Very entertaining game. No reason for every Alabama receiver to not have over 200 yards receiving.

USC looks like an absolute joke right now. How the hell they got ranked in the top 25 is beyond me. Hawaii's defense is atrocious, yet they're causing havoc against USC. If it wasn't for Hawaii's offense looking like Auburn's offense in 2012, they might be winning this game right now.

It was mentioned either right before the game or at the very beginning also....Something along the lines of it was the first the HBC had heard if it too

I could buy that. I saw him favoring a hammy for just a few minutes last night and my impression was he was looking for a breather when I didn't see him favoring that leg after the staff member made him sit for a minute.

Call me skeptical.

All of this talk we've heard about him being the "best player in college football" is going to make the small things appear much, much bigger than they would in normal situations.

Staples is far nicer with his comment on the Ole Miss v Vandy game than I've been.

For defense, I'd say we see better in FCS play.

I don't know about you but I've been gradually putting things in place all week with tonight in mind. It's my process.

I can't say I care a lot about who wins the UNC vs UofSC game. I'm looking forward to seeing what Fedora has in mind for the 'heels. It seems like I recall he was going to try to go up tempo.

The Ole Miss vs Vandy game I am interested in watching. Considering this is a game against a team from the east, this could be an ankle breaker for Ole Miss for the divisional race—in the first game of the season! Those tie-breakers...

And, well, I can't say it upsets me too terribly bad to see Ole Miss lose a game.

What to watch for?

IMO:

Flags against Ole Miss for procedure calls on offense.

Run support with Clowney.

Linebackers and secondary with UofSC. I believe that could define their season.

Samantha Steele Ponder...but I digress.

Four flags on Ole Miss—two as a result of the HUNH offense and two simple lack of discipline flags.

Run support? :lance:

LB's and secondary in pass coverage? There are issues there with UofSC.

Samantha...I digress again.

Too much win in this gif not to share.

At center we have "this is my happy dance" crew and the frozen Y-M-C-A guy. Man it would of been hilarious if a bug flew in his mouth at that time! At top right we have two girls wearing what appears tan rubber shirts / condoms (who I'm not sure if they are Vandy fans or not) but one is completely clueless what just happened. The guy on the second row bottom left, I swear he snorts in proud excitement. I know its a huge point in his life seeing ole miss battle it out and win against VANDY. Then there is the guy in the blue shirt that jumps higher and higher about to blow his lid. I almost feel bad for these fans......and then I remember how much I dislike teams from Mississippi. They are going to get shredded due to their schedule alone so they might as well enjoy the wins now lol.
