After the Corndogs tied it at 10, Old Mo had moved over to their sideline and the better part of 102,000 people were silent. Then, BAMA started a drive but then stalled at the Corndog 38. Here is where I think Saban realized that outside of a couple of penalties and a couple of throws, we were dominating their ass but MO was on the wrong sideline. Saban called the punt team off and asked Griffith what he thought. Here are those 3 plays.

1. Adam Griffith nails the 55 yard FG!! Seeing Reggie Ragland hug AG really said a lot to me. They have had his back through it all. I'd like to know what Reggie said to him.

2. Tony Brown's hit on the Corndog return man. @TerryP had already mentioned how bad they were in special teams. I see why!!

Right here is when I think Saban gave his "make their ass quit!" speech at halftime. He knew it and the players sensed it.

3. Dillon Lee's pick on the first play from scrimmage to start the 3rd quarter.

Those 3 plays had Bryant Denny rocking and the Corndogs realing!

...that old adage about big plays at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half having a huge impact on the outcome of a game. I think there's a lot of truth to it and I agree that those plays had a very big impact on the psyche of both teams.

I am thinking that the game was pretty well decided on one of LSU's longest drives of the day; the six play drive in the second series of the game.

IF Bama had been able to get a sack when LSU was going backwards (and my, that was close) I wonder if they'd have scored. Their offensive line, after going three and out in the first series and backwards in the second, had to have "lights coming on" while realizing what they were up against.

BTW, the play that impressed me the most wasn't a play at all.

When LSU was coming back on the field and the Bama defense had 18-20 players on the field waiting to see the package they were bringing in...

Organized. The staff and all those players were on the same script. Flawless in this day of substitutions.
We noticed that too.... we were trying to figure out what was going on and then you just saw them break off and some come to sideline and others stay on the field... they knew exactly what to look for and what to do depending on who came on the field for LSU... beautiful.

Someone had a screenshot of this on FB. I didn't grab it, or even notice who it was that had it. Needless to say, I am not near as well prepared as CNS...

@TerryP , my 95 year old grandmother asked me about that very same situation. I laughed my ass off!

I have scrolled and scrolled FB, and can not find it now. I will continue to to BOLO.

T.Brown is the best hit I've seen this year.
block the exter point another one. I mean 300+ guy jumping over to block the ball
The n when LSU call T.O. and Bama had those 19 players just waiting till the Offense stateering coming back on field.

@mrchase please make me a banne again for me. Like you got RollTideBama.Com on one side and T.Brown on the other side hitting that guy. Also one with Henry with the two LSU player he look like the Heisman .

This is CNS and staff working to defend the HUNH. I know LSU wasn't playing that but they have learned a more progressive/aggressive way to substitute players now. Why not do that then too.

Now that this defense has had some time to gel into this system (both players & coaches enhancing this substitution method), they are getting sharp. That's just dang good coaching y'all.
