With game day getting near whats every ones final thoughts not just about this first game the whole season???


We are stacked on defense

Should be a great year for Bama fans Roll Tide

There are some question marks, but I am very optimistic about our upcoming season. Unless both our young QBs turn out to be catastrophes I expect us to be in the hunt for the NC all the way. The Superdome on Jan 9 (which happens to be my birthday) would be awesome.

1) We cant have any letdowns in big games....must maintain intensity and stay on the attack....avoid getting overly conservative ( 2010 South Carolina and Auburn games come to mind ).
2) QB position must get into a comfort zone and execute the plan.
3) O-line needs to especially block well for the young QB's in order for them to play well.
4) Defense should be fine. Running game and receivers should do fine.
5) Avoid the big injuries to key players.
6) Catch a few breaks

If we can do this.....hopefully we will be in the chase at the end.

The obvious need to solidify the quarterback position
A consistent pass rush

Obviously, our defense should be very very good but I hope to see a good offense as well. The running game should be good but I am a little concerned about the passing game, we need some receivers to step up and be a threat.

I think that the SEC is going to discover, as did Michigan State, what it's like to play Bama on a level playing field.

All any team can do by this time is be good enough to be amoung all those who are Good Enough. After that, 1) don't beat yourself, 2) remain in the game (healthy and eligable), 3) and have Lady Luck smile on you at the right moments and you are Champions.

Bama is good enough.
Bama seems to have its head screwed on straight enough to remain eligable.
Staying healthy remains to be seen, but as of this moment injuries are not the threat.
As for Lady Luck, she may not have been here last season (or even this spring) but she sure as heck didn't spend the preseason in Baton Rouge, Miami, Columbus Ohio, Eugene Oregon....
