First of all i gotta give props to Bye, they gave us all we could handle. They really exploited our D with the quick slants and the bubble screens. Byeton really suprised me with his arm strength considering he just came off an injury. It seemed as if we couldn't get any pressure on Byeton the whole game no matter how many guys we sent. For the most part they kept Marcel Darius in check, something few teams have done. On offense our passing game seemed to improve although i wish we would take a few more shots downfield. Mark Ingram had a bad game but the other backs seemed to pick up the slack. It's good to see UpChurch getting more carries, hopefully we can use him a little more vs LSU. The one thing that really bothered me on offense was the pass protection, it seemed as if #51 on their D was dominating Barrett Jones on nearly every play. For the most part Bye's fans were fairly decent minus all of the bitching on the non call on Marquis Johnson on the fade to the endzone. Not too many Bye fans showed up, which i guess is expected with the state of our economy. All in all a good, solid win. Our boys played their hearts out and won it in the end. You have to admire the heart and passion they played with today.

Yesterday's perfromance didn't impress the AP voters, though.

I hear the Defensive Coordinator for BYE is being mentioned with several jobs out there. They have yet to allow a touchdown all year.

We simply have to play better against LSU than we did bye. Our lack of offensive production against bye has probably given LSU more confidence heading into the game this Saturday.

Miles said, "Bye exploited the BAMA defense. I am going to watch film and implement many of the same things that Bye did to BAMA. I try not buy into all the Bye hype but with my damn fine football team, we will do what Bye couldn't!".
