🏈 Thought OM would end up 3rd in the SECW, but playing LSU...

...I never thought we'd see this weekends game vs LSU literally be the game that decides the Cotton Bowl participant.

7-0 Rebels early...looks like more of the same from the Tigers on offense that we saw last week. 3rd and 9 and they aren't trying to pass the ball.

Wouldn't Georgia be a lock for the Cotton?

I would love for Ole Miss to finish 2nd in the SEC, man that would be funny.

No. Cotton picks from the West...if they chose from the East they have to wait until the Cap One makes its selection and also wait until the Outback makes their choice if they wanted a team from the East.

Right now, Cap One will likely pick UGA based on their win over LSU and having a better overall record.

Didn't realize they choose by division when picking SEC teams for bowls, makes senses though.

LSU cannot afford to do what they did against Troy with Ole Miss. Mississippi plays defense. There will be no 40 point quarter.

Not a real good secondary Ole Miss fields...if Lee (gets up) gets hot...kid looks hurt.

That only applies to the Cotton and Outback...

If LSU continues to play like it has these last two weeks, their fans may be looking at a trip to the Independence Bowl.

I reckon all the Tiger fans who showed up in Shreveport for the Bama/Colorado game last year would feel right at home.

Btw, (according to the rival boards) many LSU fans do not want to go to the Cotton Bowl because it means their secondary will have to face a Big 12 offense.

They can now breathe a sigh of relief.
