Just this morning I said something I regret, but I won't walk it back. "Your biscuits are hockey pucks. I could throw one across the street and kill that cat."
She got pissed off because of the cat, not her hockey pucks.
"It has become ever more clear to me that if I had spent my life avoiding any and all potential risks, I would have missed doing most of the things that have comprised the best years of my life."
Dude. In a sense I idolize her. I have a wax myrtle in the back yard that is the home to Cardinals every year. A bird house on the back fence for blue birds, every year. I watch 'em every morning with coffee. I find it fascinating.
And SHE documented what...over 8000 bird species in her life? I'd have to look it up.
It is impossible to beat the silence of five am in the morning...the only thing awake are the birds. Without that half of an hour each day I'd go nuts.
