šŸˆ This year's football team...

Its 2020 :).

Do not want to rain on the parade because I really do think this team has been great but am I the only one worried about the Arky game? I think they may be much more difficult than the LSU and Barn games. Probably the hardest game since UGA.

Not worried but as said in the CFN thread:

Arkansas has not scored less than 24 since the first two games against the Bulldog teams. Excluding the six teams with a winning record because they can't play themselves, Tennessee and Arkansas are the only two teams in the SEC that play all six of those with a winning record. They are scoring a bunch of points against the best teams in the SEC

I definitely want to agree with this, but can one offseason do away with 3-4 years of the other style? Asking because I don't know and really curious to thoughts.

I definitely agree on the wait and see to gather more data. But the quick data shows a lot less injuries, and personally I always felt our guys started strong early in season and fell off. My personal feeling was we peeked too soon. I'm not sure about y'all, but IMO we have more spring in our step this late in a season than I have ever seen out of any of Sabans teams. It could be the people we have, it could be the shorter schedule, but I can say I wasnt sad when CSC left. I may be wrong. Time will tell, but thats the Dude's perspective.

Cochran did a great job so lets appreciate what he did for Bama during his time here. Seems like technology and concepts related to S&C change and advanced from Cochrans time at Bama. It was time to change it up for both parties.

With one small sample it is certainly looking promising. Seems like so far (cross fingers) there have been less injury issues and the teams level of play has sustained especially on offense. The reality is a lot of variables are at play. Has Saban made practice changes? Did a lack of spring help with the wear and tear on the body? What is the impact with covid? New S&C for sure has changed things up. At this point it is a wait and see until we get more samples.

In my opinion the Arky game is a trap game. When we win we get no credit for beating them. We were supposed to. If they give us a close game it will hurt us. I expect them to be just as tough or more tough than GA. Still Roll Tide

In an earlier thread I said basically something similar. Said that the Arky game will be our toughest game since UGA. Our team is also better than the UGA game. D has improved although in my mind they regressed a little bit last week especially in the first half. Could be tough but if the offense executes like they have this team is machine like. If the reports are true we may have at least 1 OL out due to COVID. No idea the effects of that.

been listening to Cowherd?

Absolutely. One of the best hires Saban has ever made. Also, while I'm still somewhat skeptical, I gotta give Pete Golding some credit. The defense is a capable unit right now.

This is a good team folks.
I agree with the sports analyst on Finebaum Friday who said Saban should get SEC coach of the year instead of it going to another coach as a consolation prize.

That is incredible honestly. Wow is all you can say. With the D improvement. kicking game and now punt return this team is a handful. There may be a team that beats them this year but they will have to bring their A++ game and Bama their C game for it to happen.

Can you imagine if Waddle was still on the field ....
I know! I have thought the same thing!
