This team is different than some of the others Saban has had in recent years. Two of the bigger differences is that the level of leadership on both sides of the ball is where Saban likes it to be. In recent years, in some areas, it has lacked. Another important note, this year's team is peaking at the right time. A big reason this has been an issue in the past is injuries but also some coaching issues. This year, coaches are on the same page and not distracted by other things, injuries have been down, and the team has improved as the season has played out. We have seen Clemson's teams peak late the past couple of years, playing their best football in November and into the post season. We saw it with LSU last year, improving week to week. This season, Alabama is that team.

A couple of things to note as Bama heads into the regular season finale against Arkansas this Saturday...

-Bama/Saban will be going for their 13th straight 10 win season. In a season when that seemed more improbable because of the shorted schedule and 10 straight SEC game gauntlet, that makes the milestone even more impressive. That would be 13 out of 14 seasons for Saban while at Alabama. Prior to coming to Alabama, Saban had coached 11 seasons (Toledo, Michigan State, LSU) and only managed 2 10 win seasons.

-The Tide as had at least 1 100 yard receiver in every game this season thus far. I think I brought this up a couple weeks ago, but that doesn't happen much (a 100 yard receiver in every game). It has never happened at Alabama, and I couldn't find where it has happened in the SEC before (maybe it has, but I can't find it).

And I think the biggest difference is the O-Line. Every single time that Saban wins a NC he has an O-Line that are road graders & don't make stupid mistakes. Last years right tackle was always good for a false start. Those bone-head penalties have just about disappeared.

Najee's touchdown ratio in the red-zone is a testament to that O-Line. At some point the game, the O-Line has got to impose their will, especially in the red zone and they have been on it this year!

Agreed. We should probably also mention that we have a kicker too. It is a complete team in every sense of the word.

A B S O L U T E L Y !!!

The way that ball comes off his foot is almost like cannon! And he doesn't look concerned in the slightest when kicking. His quick nod is almost like "Gimme that $@$@ing thing!".

It has been ages since my anxiety has dissipated when kicking.
