I heard about his little soiree' a few days ago. It seems ol' Gus has not been media friendly at all. He has repetitively refused interviews from media giants like ESPN on down. I think now he is trying to spin things because he see's his future at AU...and it it ain't good.

You know every journalist will ask about his future and his inability to beat Alabama.

I think this is the norm down there. The Barners like to have their media people spin all of that "fambly" bullshit and how much fun it is. I believe @TerryP mentioned before that their recruiting guys speak with recruits while they are on campus while Saban and others make them wait till they are off campus.
I saw where someone posted a video on Twitter showing their team playing on damn inflatables in their indoor facility. Mark Richt 2.0!! I believe someone pulled it from Kodi Burns Twitter.

From my perspective, I'd have written that as "the media hasn't been very Gus-friendly at all." And, echoing what @uagrad93 said, this is a bit of the norm there. I'd have thought you would have heard about their 'media packages' set up for beat writers covering the football team. If I've heard the stories once, I've heard them thousands of times.

With the exception of a few I've seen the tone of Auburn beat writers change over the past year with Gus. This strikes me as Gus looking for support to get his message out. Why not? It works for the majority of those fans.
