🏈 This is the kind of response that will end up getting Kelly fired. "Lyin' and Cryin'"

Just look what Jayden Daniels did in the air and on the ground. He talks about doing something about the targeting rule need to be updated. What about just put a black jersey on the QB or better make it so the QB can only pass the ball or hand it off!
It's pretty close to that now... I mean I am really surprised they didn't have issues with the hit on the QB. I personally don't think it was a bad hit, but my god... they call a penalty when your hand lightly grazes or bumps the QBs helmet. It's ridiculous how much they "protect" the QB. I guess they did call a flag on the hit, just said it wasn't targeting... so there is that.

Qb at Washington.....thats my bet
He'll get almost all of the west cost votes for sure, and a good amount of the remaining... My guess is he's will be the guy unless something happens between now and then.

145 votes in the Far West - Highest density for him... 90% = 130 votes
145 votes in the South West - Pretty high, except for maybe some Texas votes... let's say 75% = 109 votes
145 votes in the Mid West - I don't see Midwest voting for a Southern QB with other viable options... let's say 60% = 87 votes

That only leaves NorthEast 145, not likely to support heavily toward a southern QB, Mid-Atlantic, could go either way and South, which will be heavily in LSUs favor. Basically, I don't think Daniels can win at the rate needed in the remaining areas to overcome the west cost bias/southern hatred.

Then you have some 57 prior winners... give it a split 50/50 on those.

And that's just considering 1st place votes. I wouldn't be surprised to see Daniels with some 3rd and 4th place votes. I don't think the West Coast QB will be lower than 2nd on almost all the ballots.

Just my Opinion.

I agree. Shouldn’t get any votes when you’ve lost 3 games.
I don’t know if I would say shouldn’t… but I understand what you mean.

I don’t think the vote should be based on team performances, but I understand that’s where it ends up, because let’s be honest what eyes are watching LSU play this year if they’re not in the hunt for anything? Surely not the north east Midwest southwest far west, and may not even middle Atlantic. So if they’re not in the hunt ain’t nobody watching them. Hence, no one knows how good Danielle is besides the south.

If you ask me, the best QB in the nation is Danielle’s if you want the best player in the nation you need to look at the Georgia tight end, if you want the most popular nation going to be the West Coast QB guy

Lamar Jackson has entered the thread with his 3-loss Heisman campaign. And he did it against a somewhat weak ACC slate. I’d say what Daniel’s is doing against some solid SEC teams is just as impressive. If you watch the Bose PAC 12 games, there’s plays where defenders are 20 yards from receivers. And that’s the nearest defender. Running backs get hit 5-6 times and not tackled. Those games are awful to watch. In my opinion.

I actually agree with Kelly a bit. Not to mention Lane Kiffin who also chimed in on Dallas' hit. When the offensive ball carrier, as in the LSU-UF game, lowers his head and the defender is trying to tackle him, you can't call targeting. Plus the ball carrier isn't defenseless.

This deserves somewhat of a caveat. In 2016, to the week, he was leading a Louisville team that was 9-1 going into week 12. A LOT of people had already submitted their ballots before the Cardinals dropped their last three games in a row.

If you recall, that was also the year we started hearing voters say ballots shouldn't be submitted early.

Yes, I remember. Folks voting with 2 weeks in regular season left is insane. More like stupid. Lamar won it pretty big, over 600 points over Watson.

In 2007, at that same point in the season, Tebow has the gators at 7-3 with the signature win over Kentucky. Tebow won by around 250 votes over McFadden whose team was 6-4 at that point in the season (with a signature win over South Carolina at that point). Wins didn’t seem to matter as much back then.
