I know it man. I hate that. I guess we should take it as an offhanded compliment. Everyone STILL wants to beat Alabama so bad. Says alot about us and them..cowards that they are.

Actually playing ULM the week before the barn may work to our advantage. After back to back disappointing losses it could give the offense a chance to regain some confidence rather than going in with a bad case of shell shock.

I agree! I hope I don't change my mind after the fact, but I totally agree now. We need another game to get this mess out of our system.

The SEC office controls the conference schedules. It wasn't State's decision.

FWIW, this has gone on for years. If a team doesn't have a bye week, they have an opportunity to play an out-of-league cupcake.

Georgia: 1-AA Western Carolina
Ole Miss: Louisiana Tech
Tennessee: at MSU
MSU: Bye
LSU: Bye
Auburn: Bye

Tennessee is an obvious exception, although, they have seemed to have an off week before Alabama for the past decade. You could also make a case for Auburn, as well, as we elected to play UL-Monroe and they chose the bye week.

I'm not one to make excuses, but you can't argue that this could ever work out favorably for us. Compared to the near dream schedules that some conference teams are handed, it's clear that the league office has made it a policy of always serving us dark meat.
