I still say they need to implement the rule like the NFL. One yard down field and call it. I bet if the NCAA went to the one yard rule, we would go back to more of a traditional (pro-style) offense.

This instance isn't an RPO. And it's not a penalty because he ball was thrown away fully out of bounds. As others said, this was a screen that went wrong.

What I hate are the RPO plays where OLs are 5 yards downfield.

Can't blame him. Both coaches had plenty of reason to be fired up. I'm just glad it wasn't one of those SEC battles that decide the outcome of a close one.

You're right. That was what caused the flag to be thrown.

I do recall him losing his cool after that play...then again, I may be wrong. It took Saturday evening, all day Sunday and Monday just to clean up my yard ... so, my memory isn't going to be that good on events over the weekend.
