"*****While Saturday's loss may have been shocking for Alabama players and fans, it wasn't to Gators fans. They came prepared. While watching UF celebrate, Crimson Tide fans were pelted with sugar packets and boxes of sugar that had been carried into the stadium as a dig at UA for playing in the Sugar Bowl and not the BCS national title game."

And I would say the same things had Bama fans done this. Childish, classless, pathetic.

Elephants have long memories, so they say.

Not surprising to be honest, most Gator fans I have run across are jerks. They were carrying on the entire way into the Dome and the SEC fanfare. Although, from the looks of it there was a ton of Bama fans in the World Congress Center before the game, it was a sea of Crimson!!!

Screw em, Tebow will be gone soon enough and they'll be nothing.

They acted like this in VICTORY!
Who knows what would have happened if they'd lost???!!!

For as classy as Tebow is...the rest of the bunch has a lot to learn.

They get the arrogance from Urban, I suppose. Saban can get arrogant, but Urban takes the cake when it comes to high and mighty.

I really don't know who coaches Florida anymore? Is it Urban or Tebow?

Meyer is a good coach, but it must be wonderful when your entire team revolves around a single player. In the BIG PICTURE...I'd rather be Alabama.

Yes, UF is great and they'll probably take home the prize this year, but in the long run...I'd take Alabama.

TEAM!!!

RTR!!!

If i remember correctly, when we did a home/home with Oklahoma, there was respect and class both ways. The Ok fans are in for a big fanbase shock this year...

Well, maybe not, they had to play LSU in N.O. a few years ago.

Wasn't it Coach Bryant that said..."anybody can win or lose but not everybody can do it with class"....

We all know which fits who. Roll Tide!

I went to the SECCG and didn't see any of that sort of action from the Florida fans. I rode Marta with many of them back to the hotel and ate breakfast with them the next morning. All I encountered were class acts and gave praise to our team's effort.

I have to admit that my experience with the Florida fans Saturday was entirely different. Every one I met was extremely pleasant, the ones that were sitting near us at the game were very respectful. The hotel we stayed in was full of Florida fans and again, no problems whatsoever...Even the ones at the Gameday set were no different than our fans. I'm glad that I did not run into any of the fans that some of you did.

If all they did is throw sugar packets and razz the Bama fans a little then I am OK with that. Heck, that's part of it. Take it like a man.

If they got violent, vandalic, or overtly disrespectful of women, children, or old folks - then that's another matter.

There was only one nasty Florida fan I encountered over the weekend, and he sat next to my mother at the game. He was a total reject from life though so I kinda felt bad lol.

Every other Florida fan was great, nice, classy, etc etc.

Did you see all of the Alabama fans that threw anything they could get their hands on at Auburn when they were headed back to the locker rooms? Does that make the whole fan base classless?? HELL NO!

CLASS, apparently everyone has their own definition of the word.

I personally think its a silly word to describe FANATICS, but that is me.

It seems to me that every time we lose (albeit limited this year), we talk about class and the opposing team's lack of it...just an observation.

Well, you throw sugar packets at me, ill get mad and maybe flip you off. You throw anything, sugar packets included, at my wife or kids and ill be on you like white on rice. Im sure these gator fans were "discriminate" with who they threw things at....

Yes, there are some absolute moronic Bama fans. That guy whose YouTube submissions keep getting posted on here is cheif among them.

I can't think of a situation in which public ridicule and humiliation is acceptable.

*cough* I'm a woman and I don't buy it for an instant that "toughness" is the measure of a man but not a woman.
