Even the announcers said that the headset situation hurt Alabama more because our OC was up in the booth while their DC was down on the field. At least cry about something that normal people can't figure out on their own.:lance:
Bill Walsh was notorious for pulling this trick every time his team received the opening kick and went on offense first - either home or away.
Walsh was known to script the first five or six plays for any given set of down-and-distance combinations - and practice them in sequence all week. Joe Montana and Steve Young and the entire offensive unit know before the huddle what the play would be just based on the d-&-d.
So, almost magically, the 49er headsets would malfunction until that offensive series was over.
This was the first thing that crossed my mind Saturday. And I was 'shocked' when after the punt everything suddenly cleared up on the UT sidelines.
Kiffin is beginning to make Fulmer look like a stand-up kind of guy.
