Don't have the stats (I'm not a "stats poster" :smile but wouldn't Muschamp be on the list with Auburn?

Very little difference between 2005 and 2006 (when Muschamp took over.)

Less than a point per game in scoring defense, within 10 yards in rushing defense...only difference was really in total yards given up per game where they allowed about 20 yards less under Muschamp.

The biggest change in '05 to '06 with Auburn was on offense. They led the league in '05 but dropped about 10 points a game in '06.

Here's another trivia question...

Who remembers who Tubs hired in 2005 as his defensive coordinator only to be fired after one season? He hired Muschamp after this guy and as you can see didn't see any significant improvement.

Yep.

And, if you ask me, it was a knee-jerk reaction. Although, I had to admit Wisconsin moved through that defense like it didn't exist. Geez, what was it...250 or so yards rushing in that bowl game?

There was very little difference in the two teams ('04-'05.) A couple of points in scoring defense, a few yards in passing defense, and a few yards in rushing defense. Granted, the '04 numbers where better but we are talking @ 30 yards a game.

The biggest difference in those two teams was the turnover margin.
