I have just been thinking about this season as I have been playing through a season of football on NCAA 2008 in my spare time. I think as Alabama fans we need to show patience. Our defense is very young and inexperienced and we will take some hits early on in games due to these factors. I also notice FSU, LSU, AU, UGA, and Tennessee probably have more talent than us overall. Then toss in a improved Vandy and Ole Miss and I see a mixture for a 7-5 season. I think UA is talented enough to go 8-4 and possibly 9-3 in a best case scenario but I am predicting 7-5 and hoping for better. We still have a long ways to go in the talent department to be competing for SEC championships much less a National Championships. The good news is with the recruiting popping like it is we will be competing for championships sooner rather than later, just not this year.
