Things to do in Ft. Worth?

Mrs. Bama and I will be heading to Ft. Worth in late July because of our church denominations national meeting. The last time I was in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area was 1981 so it's been awhile. Any help on sites, places to eat near the civic center or somewhere to shop would be appreciated. Thanks!

Will you have a car?

Fort Worth has lots of things to do. Some really good art museums (better than Dallas), Arlington has Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, Cowboys Stadium, (Jerry World), Texas Rangers Ball Park, & Fort Worth Stockyards. If you're a history person, shooting over to Dallas to check out the Sixth Floor Museum. I don't make it to Ft Worth that often to recommend places to eat, I'd recommend hitting up Yelp for options.

It's been a few years since I was out that way. The main things I can remember doing while with my relatives was going to the Fort Worth Stockyards and the Imax theater at the Omni,Ft Worth Museum of Science and History.
