getting fluid around the SEC.

Let me preface this with the fact that I'm not worried in the least about how strong other teams might be simply because who is at the helm of our program and we have a head start essentially on the entire SEC other than Florida and maybe, maybe LSU. It looks like Kiffen is putting together a decent staff at UT. It will be interesting how this turns out. I can see UA and UT being a prequel to the SECCG. If things stay the same for Weiss at ND...I see him getting the axe as early as next year and that would open the door for Meyer to take his Dream Job (his words, not mine). That would mean in the very least some transition years for UF. His staff has already taken a hit and from the looks of the article linked here he might take another one. Granted one or two coaches does not make a staff, but continuity always helps. With Petrino and Nutt both looking to be on their way to building good programs at their respective institutions......I just see the SEC being even tougher, if not the toughest it has ever been. The next few years will be awesome to watch unfold, especially for us Bama fans!! Thank you God for allowing CNS to find a home in Tuscaloosa!!!!

This would be a good post for the main football board, Doug.

It will be interesting to see what unfolds in the East the next several years. I also think it speaks volumes that Ed "Yo yo yo yo" Orgeron spurned an opportunity to coach in his home state at LSU over a slightly higher salary offer in Knoxville. I guess Coach O thinks Kiffen has a longer expiration date than Miles if you ask me!

Love the topic.

I see Miles being the current Tubberville, that is to say welcome as long as he is doing so well that they can't get rid of him. With Saban, specifically, amassing success at LSU's expense Miles could be gone next year.

UT seems to be keeping the Nation quiet, but they will measure success against Bama and/or Florida. That is an uphill climb as things are. Clearly Coach Orangejello was not HC material, but there is no shame in being a good assistant. Lets read the tea leaves when this recruiting class comes in.

Urban to ND is interesting. He has been at Florida to qualify for the "moving on to a new challenge" line. The issue would be out bidding the Gators if they win the National Championship. Remember, there are still a number of years that have to be payed off for Weiss. (If that happens, I suspect the scale of that deal will make Saban's "$4Million" talk go away.) QUESTION: would the Gators raid Utah for it new coach again? That has to be a seriously considered option.

In the West, everyone can't be great. So who under achieves? I like our chances of not being odd-man-out. Auburn and State are clearly fighting to be the Mess of that West. Odd-Man must be Arkansas or LSU (via self inflicted wounds). Bama and Ole Miss seem to be the Best of the West for a while.

Does anyone ever see S.Carolina being elite. Seriously, they take two NC winning coaches and make them look like average Joes. Dabo will do well in the future. Yea, Dabo.

Can Kentucky and Vandy sustain the current success? My thought is that this requires Tennessee to continue to falter, so alright then. :D

Question, who will have the better program over the next five years, Auburn of Troy? Seriously.
