🏈 There's no easy way to say it....

Here's how I'm choosing to look at it...

Today my coworker asked me (this was just before the game) "what are they, the War Eagles?" in all seriousness. Mind you, this guy was born and raised in Columbus, OH and is a legitimate college football fan, yet still couldn't tell you the Auburn mascot. I realize its only 1 guy but its indicative of the NCAA football landscape right now. People see Bama lose and it makes headlines. Auburn is still just the school that's "somewhere" in the south that occasionally wins a couple games. Just the other day another yankee told me he still considered Bama the best team in the country. I think we can agree that's not true, but we're back to the point where the assumption is that Bama will be a force to be reckoned with.

Personally, that's all I ask for.
 
Look, the $cam Newton shirts were tasteless anyway. As soon as I seen them I told my wife they shouldn't be selling those. I don't really care for the "smack" shirts anyway. The only one I own is the "I hate orange" shirt, because it's true. I don't smack talk and never have. I don't do crow well, so this is the reason I steer clear of talking smack.

As far as AU's band performing rammer jammer and changing the words to include "go to hell Alabama". That is simply shameless. And like I said, before, we'll have to agree to disagree. We see things differently...
 
In Tuscaloosa for the Georgia State game and passed on those Newton shirts too. I was reminded of a line from RAW DEAL: "Smart I like; smart-assed I don't" I passed on the T's because I found them uncreative and juvenile; the lowest common denominator of for-the-buck, pagan sports exploitation; kin to a bunch of high schoolers mooning out a car window in a rival school drive-by. Not into that myself. But for other Bama fans... I'll make an exception. :cool: My two schillings.

You guys are class acts. I think we can agree it was a great game between two great teams.

Your counterparts in this thread however leave a lot to be desired in the "class" department that they seem to so familiar with.

Everyone try and take comfort in the fact that it will be reversed! There's wayyyyy toooo much Proof that Auburn Bought this season! The Sec and NCAA offices are trying to let this go away and find a way to let auburn slide free and clear, but there's no way they can! Rev.Newton ADMITTED too Shopping his Son! If that were the only evidence they had he is Ineligible....Period! And thats just the tip of the iceberg! Also, look at newton stats for the game! We slapped him around, it was only 2 or 3 plays that we messed up on that they put points on the board...Cam didn't beat us! Period....

If I'm not mistaken....there isn't any proof. At least I have yet to see anyone present any so far.

Not really seeing how you can call anyone in this thread classless. Maybe a couple posts here and there...but everyone else? Come on man...

:panic:Agreed 100% The hammer is about to fall and its takin auburns program with it. And there was nothing classless about us playn those two songs intended toward cam. They should have done it the entire game. And there is proof. It will be revealed. You think they're gonna let them get away with it after his daddy admitted it? Gimme a break.
 
"Where there is smoke, there is fire." The question is... just how much, or how little fire. Will it spread? Is it enough to burn Auburn. All questions, decisions, speculations and resolves to be handled by the experts. Until then... I'm not pointing a single finger. My mouth's shut and my keyboard locked. But that's just me. LOL
