šŸˆ the worst take you'll find on OU, Jalen, Saban, and the playoffs comes from ESPN's Mike Greenberg. Quite simply, he's FOS.

The thing we have to remember is that Alabama has been so dominant over the past 10 years, everyone who is not a Bama fan is going to get in their digs. It’s ok! At least people know we are the standard for college football over that time. Just like Miami, Nebraska and Southern Cal when they dominated and everybody hated them except their fan base. I wanted them to lose every time they played but they played at a much higher level than the others. Hopefully, we’ll be back In the race next year.

People know there is a standard in broadcasting as well. That's not it. It confirms a deeply held feeling towards Saban, and in turn Alabama. It also confirms how little he knows of the story he's comment about. That's the rub. We're right back to the first sentence.

Today has turned into a day where there's a whole lot of talk about a team that's not "in the conversation."

Greenburg is a guy that seriously thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. He talks down to people and is just pathetic to listen to with his superiority complex towards everyone. Northwestern, outside of being a doctor, will do that to you.

I was trying to think of the school he attended. I kept thinking UCONN knowing that wasn't right, went on to other eastern schools...couldn't place it but knew "a blip on the football scene a few years ago."

I'd imagine exposure to Golic(s) has led to some of his fandom in this deal as well

This whole thing has really exposed a lot of people, especially in the media. Chris Broussard (does a show with Rob Parker on the radio) had a guy on last night to talk about things and cannot for the life of me think who it was. This dude said that not only is Jalen Hurts a better QB but that Tua is one of the most overrated QBs ever. One of his quotes was that "the first thing I look at when I look at a QB is his foot work" and went on to talk about how trash Tua's footwork is and how much Jalen's is in the pocket. He also said that Tua only looks as good as he does because his receivers are running wide open at all times. Broussard literally laughed out loud and said, "Yeah, because Hurts is really facing a lot of tight windows in the Big XII isn't he?" He backtracked and said that he wasn't saying that but the difference is that Jalen "hits the receiver between the numbers, on the money, almost every time" and that Tua is rarely ever accurate. I seriously turned it off and let my wife listen to her Christmas music at that one, that was unreal. Broussard pretty much had my reaction, too. These people have allowed Saban and Alabama's success absolutely drive them nuts. Like I get that some talking heads use hot takes (and cold takes) to drive talk but sometimes it's just unreal.

He must have gotten them confused...I've heard plenty of cfb analysts say Tua threw the most "on the money passes " than any qb in memory. Love Jalen but receivers had to break stride to catch his passes frequently. As for Greeny I have a feeling a few people will call him on this bs. It's nothing more than to stir the pot .

When BAMA was out of the playoffs I’m sure everyone that’s a fan of Alabama as well as the coach of said school was and is cheering for Jalen to get his chance to ā€œ win ā€œ his own championship . Very proud of him and pulling for him even though they suffer from the same shortcomings as BAMA , defense . They will probably be an early exit , But you haft to be in it to win it .

Good luck Jalen !

The only people that believe that are people with an agenda. Jalen made the best decision possible and still has "roll tide " on his social media platforms. Greenberg has Zero understanding apparently of what grad transfers do . I guess burrow will be vindicated too if he beats Ohio State. Or fields for leaving Georgia. The tweet Greenberg posted was later followed by one where he backtracked and then tried to change the argument.

Yeah he tried to deflect and pretty prickish to say " if he isn't feeling some vindication he isn't human". "The thing is Greenberg, Jalen has no reason to be vindictive. It is not in his character."
