💬 The turnover at A&M shocked me a bit when I stood back and looked at the forest for a minute. Since they've been in the SEC ...

If you've missed it, A&M has been in the news a bit the last few days with the political scene. Along with that comes the news that their current President will be stepping down from his role. This story caught my eye because his predecessor was in the position for a month and a half. Now they are looking at the sixth president since they joined the conference.

See, that's a bit ironic. Elko is the sixth football coach at A&M in the same time span.

Now, it's not quite as bad for Athletic Directors; they are on their fourth in 2012. While Trev Alberts did a respectable job for Nebraska (alumni) I can't see him in College Station for long: it just doesn't fit.

Basketball isn't as bad, three. Well, until you consider it's Buzz, and Bucky, and Gillespie, and Turgeon ... some good coaches there.

Thrasning and turonver usually creae problems in the long wrong. Need some stability at these key leadership positons. Maybe the common thread here is their BOT?

The jobs of president, chancellor, athletic director and others has changed so much over the years. These men and women have so much stress placed on them by alumni, coaches, fans, etc... that burnout happens so quickly. Yes, they get paid a king's ransom in many incidents but money is not the answer to your mental and physical health, happiness and quality of life. Just my opinion.
