🏈 the spanking video

Ha, someone told me about that today but I completely missed it during the game.

Happens in sports all the time...you show me a football game and I'll show you someone getting patted on the ass at some point. Don't see what the big deal is.

That was much more than a pat! I personally don't see anything wrong with it so don't think I'm launching a barb. That was pretty damn funny

If you guys want to read some good stuff about this incident, join Rick Karle's Facebook. There are some real "drama" queens on there talking about "abusing"etc. Scarbo is another that is beating the drum about CNS being out of line. I'm really surprised that he has had time to see it since he has been on his knees down on the Plains!!

at 19...I might hold back a little, but a few years later, yeah, he would get clocked. I guess I'm from the you don't treat people like that, yell at me all you want, but you hit me like he did, you just changed the game.

i just think Saban went a tad to far, he put some fire behind that and because of that, he would get some fire back.

what kills me, some folks here are all over Fairley for wanting to take a QB outta the game...didn't that happen back in the day, but some are cool with Saban hitting AJ and it's not a big deal. Different I know, but kinda the same.

Kinda the same? Yeah...no. If you can't tell the difference between a helmet to the spine and a harmless slap on the ass...then I don't know what to tell you. No offense, but trying to compare the two is one of the most asinine things I've seen in a while.

haha, i'm not trying to compare the two, trying to compare others saying getting hit by a coach is old school, so it taking the other player outta the game.

some of you make me laugh, auburn is this, auburn is that...I guess I don't have my crimson colored glasses on all the time.

Still though, you're getting a little too riled up over something so common and harmless. If you can't stand coach getting in your ear and giving you a little slap on the rear then you probably aren't cut out for major college football...

I don't see how us not condoning dirty play means we shouldn't over look something so silly. It has nothing to do with "crimson colored glasses." It does however have everything to do with common sense...

i'm not riled up, just stating I think coach saban went too far with the hit on the rear, guess I can't have an opinion but you can.

i've never once said fairley didn't go to far with some of his hits, I'm just not gonna call him a dirty player resorting to calling auburn stupid names saying they are teaching this kinda crap - hence the crimson colored glasses comment.

guess i'm in an argumentative mode...

Never said you couldn't have an opinion, just saying your opinion is overreactive. Also, if you aren't outraged by any player getting away with what Fairly did regardless of what jersey they wear then I sincerely don't trust your judgement of what is or isn't too far. Seems you're so worried about not looking like a biased fan that you ignore all logic and reasoning when it comes to matters considering other teams. It is what it is, and it was appalling.

Two observations:
1) The "spanking" must not have been as hard as it looked. A.J. didn't wince or break stride. Perhaps CNS "pulled" his punch at the end.

2). The Fairly "spear" was done with obvious intent to injure Murray. Didn't he get away with a similar hit in their game with Clemson? The dude seems intent on pressing the limits. He wasn't flagged for his power bombs, he was for spearing.

For all the talk about Fairly, and he does need to dial it back some, I would love to have him on Alabama's D-Line.
