šŸˆ The SECN is 1yr old this weekend. What's been your impression so far?

This morning there's a roundtable on the SECN with Saban, Miles, Freeze, Pinkel, and Richt. Their discussions have been from the hardest position to recruit in the SEC to topics like what life is like in the off-season. It's small specials like this that have attracted me to the network.

Saturday's games? I may have watched a half of a dozen last year live ... probably three times that recorded on the DVR. I could have lived without those, but it was a nice addition to the weekends in the fall.

SEC Now? A great break from the monotony of ESPN in the middle of the NBA season and to a lesser degree avoiding continuous replays of MLB highlights.

The SEC Nation on Saturday mornings? I rarely watched after the first few weeks. It came across as merely a recap of things we'd talked about here or I'd seen on SEC Now through the week.

I'm curious. What's been your opinion of year one of the SECN?

IMO, too much replay. SEC Now is shown 3-4 times in a row. Feinbaum is boring to watch (as are all TV shows of radio shows). I've liked the countdown of top SEC games as we're all waiting for the season to start. I was hoping for more "in depth" coverage of other sports within the conference. It seems like they staff up for football and the staff down the rest of the year.

That doesn't bother me. Depending on what's going on at work I may get home in time for the first but often it won't be until the last show broadcast in the morning.

On more than one occasion I've found myself using the Xfinity app on my phone to set the DVR to record the show and when I think about it is anyone's guess.

I enjoyed, and miss, seeing IMUS in the Morning on the tube. His show is about the only exception. The Dan Patrick show was entertaining for a short period mainly because I was in awe of their studio.

Finebaum? Horrible format.

I spend more time watching the SECN when it's not football season. I watch a lot during basketball and baseball seasons. The football coverage is okay but the games are rarely any good. However given how little SEC basketball gets shown on the mothership, you can get some decent basketball games midweek on the SECN.

Mostly garbage like I figured. The one or two bigger games they had early last season were just to make people demand their cable carry it like I figured. The only two conference games scheduled so far are both involve Kentucky. I have no interest at all in Finebaum.

I was fine with the crappy games being on Fox at 11am before instead of having their own network.

I get more pleasure from it in the offseason when I need a football fix. The whole Top 20 games of 2014 was great. As well as getting all of the other sports rarily carried on the other networks. I admit I forget I have it at times, but do enjoy it when I tune in.
