Super Bowl? They need to have their minds set on getting to something like the Birmingham Bowl game.

I can't remember exactly where OU was ranked in the pre-season. I do know it was outside the top fifteen, inside the top twenty: and it was the same in both polls. (I'd have to look it up.)

I know they have Bama and LSU left on their schedule and with two losses they are sitting at home.

Injuries have taken their toll on the Sooners. Their starting RB is questionable, three OL out for the season, another three listed as questionable, WR injuries throughout the season ...

I know Riley didn't leave a lot for a solid program when he left. But, I think we can look at this season and admit one thing, "The SEC schedule beat those guys up."

When I posted that tweet it was about the first round matchups. It wasn't about the structure. I said, as it stands today (based on that ranking) that's who would face OSU.

I don't like seeing adults devalue an experience a college athlete receives for his time playing football. I've said this since day one. You tell someone "it isn't worth anything," kids tend to believe that.

It leads to kids quitting teams because, they heard the adults say, the bowls aren't worth anything.

This is what has happened.

Totally agree. That is whats happened n continues to happen.

I grew up with bowl games. I was excited to watch I went to a many.

But cfps are a real and growing thing. It.. nil... portal...are reality. The cfps are more exciting. Period. Win or go home.

We would beat the five teams just above us and would love to see us play the other 3 above that.
We really should be undefeated if not for two horribly played and coached games.
I'm really pleased with the changes they made with the snap cadence vs LSU. If we had that in place vs UTK i think we win that game.
Also love the lead power QB run they installed against LSU. If you can get Milroe to a clean edge I dont see anyone being able to stop that without completely selling out.

Very interesting how the mood on here goes from this team will lose 5-6 games and go to the crapper bowl to they are world beaters and destined for the NC game. The team has improved and played two really good games. The LSU game was a dominating win for sure but we are likely somewhere in between those to realities. Continue to say the team has a high ceiling but still a loong way to go. Maybe not as long as they had a couple of games ago but they still have deficiencies that will get exposed against the best competition especially if they listen to the talking heads.
