🏈 The official " What Bama must do to beat Auburn " thread

From what i have seen, we need to make the most of our offensive possessions, keep the ball away from $cam and score TDs.

On defense, we need to hit $cam early and often, Auburn will ride their rented mule all day if you let them.
Home field advantage is great to have in this game, keep the defense fired up.

IMO stops are the key. They aren't easy to come by as the Aubies are very efficient on offense. Perhaps we should be in a higher risk mode as far as making big defensive plays go, knowing that if we fail and they score on a long play it just puts their D on the field. I don't think Georgia had any stops after the first quarter.

Fundamentals will be key above all. Discipline. Solid tackling helps a great deal with Cam Newton. Oh yeah, scatch it.... I think it's up to the fams to remain silent during our offensive drives so that the O-Line reads those late checks correctly. Youth is our biggest enemy right now.

Come out with something No One has ever seen....Ingram and T.Rich in the backfield TOGETHER and at times one or both split out wide. Have Creative Plays Running and THROWING THE BALL so Auburn won't know that if both are in we must be going to Run the Ball! We've never done this and I think with 10 Creative Plays for them, we could cause some serious problems for those Cheats! I really believe they would panic then crap themselves of we did that....4 to 5 times a quarter would still keep both of them fresh and cause big problems...Does anyone else agree?!

Roll Tide Roll!

we must commit to stopping Cam's rushing. it's really that simple. he doesn't have a bad arm, but like Tebow, he won't be comfortable if he's forced to throw more than he is used to. so i say we have to do everything possible, even if it means playing man, to limit Cam from moving the chains with his legs.

Fairly is a beast, and with B.Jones out, he might exploit Vlachos and Steen (or whoever fills in). besides Fairly, i'm not really worried about Auburn's defense, even with all of my complaints about our offense.

Anyone watch the Cal -Oregon game two weeks ago? They did what I thought LSU would do (but Miles was too damn stubborn or stupid). They put a spy on the Oregon QB. Sometimes a LB, sometimes a Safety. Make CAM beat you with his arm. He will still make his runs. He will still make some passes, but mistakes will happen when they get frustrated.
