While seats are as low as $115, hotels aren’t going to cut these people any slack on cost and likely 3 night minimum stay. Going to be such a good job sticking it to the man, except the fact you just forfeit the game, proving you weren't capable of winning anything except crybaby of the year award.

Also, if you're the head coach, what kind of message does this send to the players. Quitting because things don't go your way is acceptable? I mean, you lose the locker room. You lose the respect of the team/players and the fans that got some "payback" are the only people who may not lose respect for you but that only lasts until the locker room mentality destroys your culture and then they want you gone.

FSU would be at the wrong end of multiple lawsuits. Bowl games don’t just pick two teams and say “come on down.” There are contracts with penalties. If any school/team made a plan to not play (and they wouldn’t be able to have 100% quiet compliance), they would be sued out of their a$$. Why are they tying to punish ESPN? ESPN didn’t pick the top 4. They would be punished by the ACC and NCAA ala SMU. As @c5vetman said, this is a lot of dumb@$$ery.
