Good read that does point to the fact; that as fans, we will often defend OUR team blindly. I will admit, that I was present at the Mike Price presser to announce his firing. I wasn't there to defend, wanted to see what would become of the situation. As a former coach, I felt bad for the players and wanted to reach out to them. Before that, I shook hands with Franchione at a clinic the year before and told him, that as an alum, I felt he was doing good things and that he could get us through the upcoming sanctions. We all know how that turned out!! Shula was different. I looked on in disbelief when he was announced. I gave him a pass because I knew he was there as a bandaid to stop the bleeding. I defended him until he started making dumb decisions over and over. Since Saban has been here, I have defended him blindly as well. When he was at LSU, I didn't like him. Simply because he was at LSU! When the Cindrich radio blurb came out, I went on to twitter to look up this BOZO. I didn't threaten him like ALOT of people have! I defended Saban and will continue.
I guess what they say is true, "Love is blind!"
