| CURRENT EVENTS The Jan 6th tapes are released and CNN insists the video is a lie.

Our society is in decline, following a similar life cycle of all great civilizations. It isn't an exaggeration to say that our federal government has long depended on crisis after crisis to keep it relevant in a rapidly changing world, just like the corporate media depends on crises to boost ratings and sell ads, just like our financial system depends on bailout after bailout, just like our ever expanding defense sector depends on threat after threat, just like our biomedical pharma sector relies on outbreak after outbreak to remain profitable, etc. The most dominant industries in our country (and in the world) rely on crisis, real or imagined, to procure the regulations and policies from governments to support their vast business models and protect profits and/or market share. At times, industries via the intel community will even create the crisis (real or imagined) so that their lobbyists can then recommend the self-aggrandizing legislation to "resolve" the emergency.

The non insurrection, capitol entrance caused the vote not to be challenged. An emergency had to be created to halt the motions on the floor to further look into the fraudulent election. Once the emergency was announced shortly after the motions on the floor, Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, and Pence were escorted from the chambers, the motions were now moot and lacked standing with SCOTUS. When the session was reconvened under emergency status, rules say that the meeting was only to certify the election and nothing else considered. So the govt provocateurs somewhat riled the crowd, Capitol Police opened doors to allow the "insurrectionists" in the capitol so the emergency could be declared. Plan B was the pipe bombs placed in locations by Antifa, BLM or whoever the govt has on payroll. Pelosi turned down the National Guard, had her daughter there with a film crew to capture the action for fame and fortune. So CNN says what we saw on the tapes, we didn't really see. Is anyone surprised? The real question is are all Democrats liars or are all liars Democrats...

McConnell and McCarthy stand on two opposite sides here; both Republicans. Several others of the Republican party took a stance against Tucker's video release.

That makes it hard for me to say this is something limited to one side of the aisle.

Personally, the biggest issue I see here is the constitutional violations for those charged associated with January 6th. The refusal of the release of the video's to defendants is a violation of due process.

This is all said not mentioning the thought we certainly can't simply dismiss this to a party line when there were two with the Republican party on the committee.

Referring to their overall discourse of late. Yes the R’s are liars as well but haven’t had the need to prop up the govts narrative. They lie to honor their father, Satan who is the father of lies

@64Tide on the flip side of that coin we see those who honor God—who judges individually—judge everyone as a group. That doesn't sit well with me socially, politically, or spiritually for that matter.

It's hard, arduous in fact. As hard as seeing an Auburn tag on the front of a vehicle and not automatically thinking, "hayseed."

Agreed, each individual stands on their own. Was not "judging" the whole group but didn't want to name names. We all know who the spokesperson(s) are for this group. Ironic you mention the aU tag, been doing that for years and trying to stop...

I don't usually engage in political conversations because well they are a no win situation. We are not allowed to disagree anymore. We have lost all of the moderates we had in this country. We are either extreme right or extreme left, no in between. I have voted for both major parties and for independents as well in my life (51) and I am a US Army combat veteran (Somalia).

To be completely honest I really cant believe most of this. I don't believe the Carson Tucker video, its too clean, its too perfect to say it is all a lie. Was it as bad as portrayed on TV? Maybe not. The still photos and videos of people breaking down barriers, Capital police fighting with people at the barriers and in the hall way are all fake? Was it an insurrection? Maybe but not completely but people did storm our nations capitol, they were not let in. I remember when people laughed at conspiracy theorists but now its the new cool thing to be. Might as well be a window sticker for your vehicle.

I get it people are angry on all sides, people are frustrated and tired of all of the lies. But yet we continue to vote the dumbest amongst us into office. Because voting in an idiot is better than voting for a Democrat or a Republican. I hate that statement.

And most of all I cant believe Trump is going to be the trigger to the downfall of the United States. He doesn't care about America and he doesn't care about the people that voted for him. He's probably laughing at all of us fighting with ourselves while he enjoys the attention. Then we end up with Biden who is a senile old man that is probably a puppet. Seriously can we get better candidates?

I want politicians that have ideas to solve our issues and work across the isle to negotiate. Not voting against things out of pure spite and spewing false claims about the other.

I am sure I will get ridiculed for my post (see my opening statement) but just getting this mess off my chest.

Nice post. I agree.

Until the public has full access to the video - not just the press - we'll be spoon-fed the snippets from each source trying to make their point. One buddy of mine, who is a regular Fox viewer, said Carlson purposely made that slanted video summary showing nothing but peaceful moments to satirize what the Democrats had developed. I don't know, I don't watch him, he clearly puts things out there he doesn't believe (see the Fox case), just to keep idiots in their seats.

The saddest thing is that Trump used his most ardent supporters just as Putin is using his soldiers - as entirely disposable. He's already called for protests when he's arrested next week for his financial alchemy with his charity. Again, if he could walk over the dead bodies of his supporters to be free from his myriad legal and financial issues, I truly believe he would. Here's the certainty: Trump wants his supporters to believe he's being persecuted. He's simply being held accountable.

I understand what you’re trying to say, but we need to make a clarification. It’s not a Tucker Carlson video. He didn’t create it, didn’t edit it nor produce it. This is security footage from the Capitol. This is video that was not shared with the American public and not even shown to the members of the J6 Committee (according to Bennie Thompson, Chairman of the January 6 Committee). Not sharing with the J6 Committee or the American public makes you wonder why not. It certainly raises questions on if the Committee was biased at the outset.

"Just us". So if you are an outsider, you get held accountable. If part of the "political network", do as you please with NO accountability.
I agree that there are many, many politicians who have gotten away with many things. Some have gotten caught, and punished. I wish the number was much greater. Because he's been an irritant to many, and because Dems lost their minds over the Russian hoax, Trump defenders believe that gives credence that everything showing Trump to be an amoral, law-breaking POS is also wrong.

When Trump pulls his Ross Perot next election to cinch the next Dem POTUS (Biden, Newsome, whoever), perhaps it will become apparent just what he is.

So Trump will run as an Independent? Disagree, he will walk away with the R nomination and will end up getting "2020ed" again. Suitcases and truckloads of ballots pulled out and counted in middle of night. There is a reason "they" don't want him as pres and it's not because he's any more of a crook than "they" are. It's because he cuts off their $$$ and knows where the bodies are buried. If he had been installed pres like the last guy, we would be living the 2nd Civil War in America. If all the MSM and career politicians hate him, he must be good for America. I'm not necessarily a Trump guy but am 100% America First.

Which video wasn't shared with the committee according to Thompson? The clips on Tucker's show? Or was he saying they didn't see any of the video(s)?
