Yes, the same topics have been on policies for both sides for years and nothing seems to get done. The thing I like most about Trump is he's trying to do exactly what he said he'd do. Most presidents want a divided government so they can blame the other side for not allowing them to do what they said they'd do but in reality I think they don't want to fix the issues. I align with republican values more closely than democratic but I can get behind either party accomplishing things that are beneficial for our country.

I’ll tell you where it became divided for me- when the right decided to harass and attack healthcare workers during covid, this isn’t some crazy accusation, I witnessed it and dozens of arrests just in my small town (60,000 people), doctors and nurses received death threats. It became divided when people decided that my lesbian daughter was a threat to their lives and elected assbags that would push some silly religious idea that led to people on the right to view my lesbian daughter as some sort of less than human. It became divided when Jan 6th happened and for a party of “law and order” viewed that as a tourist day and somehow view the BLM protests (not the riots) as much worse. Then you add that the people convicted of serious, nasty crimes from Jan 6th were pardoned
