A thread that a barner posted titled......

No Way CTT is getting outworked in Recruiting

I compared the scholly offers issued so far by UAT and AU as posted on Scout.com. The stats show that AU has offered more total scholllys and to more "diamonds in the rough" than UAT. Note: diamonds in the rough require a lot of work to find. UAT has offered to more 4 and 5 star recruits and to more high profile recruits outside the S.E. Everyone know about the high profile recruits and it doesn't take work to find them.

Auburn:
5 star offers--4 (Ala); 0 (SE); 0 (USA) = 4 offers
4 star offers--3 (Ala); 21 (SE); 6 (USA)=30 offers
3 star offers--7 (Ala); 11 (SE); 1 (USA)=19 offers
1 star offers--5 (Ala); 13 (SE); 1 (USA)=19 offers
TOTAL =72 offers

Alabama
5 star offers--4 (Ala); 3 (SE); 2 (USA) = 9 offers
4 star offers--3 (Ala); 17 (SE); 8 (USA)=28 offers
3 star offers--4 (Ala); 12 (SE); 3 (USA)=19 offers
1 star offers--4 (Ala); 6 (SE); 0 (USA) =10 offers
TOTAL =66 offers

It is truly astonishing what some people can delude themselves into believing. Using logic like that I could say something like;

"No way Auburn has beaten Alabama 6 years in a row".

Note: diamonds in the rough require a lot of work to find. :shock:

What an idiot. The higher profiles are harder to bring in because of all the offers. People know they are talented and have skills. "Diamonds in the ruff" would describe a few of our recruiting classes before CNS. Otherwise..."taking chances on players".

Nice to know they are still making excuses and conspiracy theories.... :lol: :lol:

I hear Florida Atlantic is offering a bunch of 1 star recruits also, looks like their head coach is outworking Saban also.

I find his logic funny, according to him Alabama only offered 66 scholarships, and we signed ~ 30 correct? How many of these diamonds in the rough did the Barn sign exactly? Seems to me the Barn just threw offers at students and didn't follow through, whereas CNS made an offer, and followed the kid either until he signed with Bama or until he signed somewhere else. Wasn't Tommy Tubs "Duck Hunting" when CNS doing follow-ups with recruits?

Yep. In Arkansas. That's why people thought he was leaving AU to go there. Instead of hunting Daffy and Donald, he should've been following that 5 star running back he lost to Ole Miss. lol

He's talking "outworked" for the '09 class.

Uh oh. 72-66. We're in trouble. :shock:

I'm not normally one to rave about stars because a lot of the time you never know how valuable a player or class is until a couple of years down the road. But the thing is (and this would really bother me if I were an Auburn fan) you don't make a living offering 1 and 2-star players in big time college football. Yeah some pan out to be huge. But overall your 4 and 5-star players are ranked that highly for a reason.

If you're offering a lot of 1's and 2's then there's probably a reason why. And that's not a good thing for your program.

You ain't going to get a Barner to buy that.
Seems diamonds in the rough, hey isn't that a movie?, are the new ''it'' in recruiting. :roll:

You know, I wonder what they'd say if by the grace of God himself they got the #1 recruiting class next year. I can see the backtracking opinions now.

The way this guy talks, he makes ear sound like Indiana Jones --

Deep in Amazon rainforest, Indiana Tubbs fends off Pumas, Vampire bats, and Leaf-cutter ants to reach his goal, and in-hut visit with the one kid Saban has not found. This Diamond-in-the-Rough's name, Nook NooK (tongue popping sound) Tah, but his friends call him (Pop). Despite never having played organized sports, thus receiving a 1 Star rating by SCOUT.COM and having to be listed only as an athlete, Indiana Tubbs believes (Pop) is true "Auburn man" material.

And thus is saga of Indiana Tubbs, the People's Recruiting National Champion.
