I say that, to say this. Being sensitive to what people say left my conscience long, long ago. Frankly, and I probably should say sadly, my being sensitive to others being sensitive to what I say left awhile ago as well.

Not sensitve at all, jsut don't care for ND or their fans especially on a Bama board.

It doesn't matter how rosey of a picture Sylvester the cat Holtz paints or the rest of the yahoos at ESPN at the end of the day Golsten is nowhere near the playmaker and QB that Manziel is. You fully expect that idiot Holtz to ride the how much better ND is than Alabama, so everything that idiot says about how great ND is and how much they're going to beat Alabama comes as no surprise.

The rest of the crap that all the talking dummies at ESPN are saying is what gets on my nerves. All of them other than Mark May keep saying about Kelly having a month to prepare blah blah, but they happen to leave out that Saban has a month to prepare also and there is no better game plan coach in the country than Saban. The "Manziel did this and did that to Alabama" really gets on my nerves because if Holsten was anywhere near the player that Manziel is then Golsten would've been in the New York with Te'o, but amazingly he wasnt. I can't help, but look at the struggles ND had against Pitt and USC and neither of those teams are as talented or as good as Alabama, but this game all of a sudden ND is going to turn into the football juggernaut.... They might play well, but Alabama isn't Pitt or USC and ND isn't aTm and they damn sure aren't LSU.

At the end of the day, Notre Dame is undefeated. To dismiss them is a mistake in my opinion.

The media has been hanging on Bama's danglies for 3-4 years now, let Notre Dame get some love...whether it be short lived or long lived will be determined in 26 days.

How many Heisman votes did Golson get again?

Agreed.

I see areas where they match up very well against the Tide. With areas like those, why try to "invent" more?

I was using your post to insert a little sarcasm in the thread—or just being a smart ass. Your call.

I visit this board to get the other teams perspective. If I wanted a ND lovefest I would stay on Irish Envy or Gold Helmet. I've found 99% of the Tide fans here to be very nice and friendly reasonable. I hope that I am reciprocating. I agree that the Irish have played some tight games and got some help from Pitt, but I can also say they didn't play the likes of Florida Atlantic, Western Carolina or Western Kentucky (sorry Terry). I have no delusions of an Irish thumping of the Tide and believe this game could go either way. Like I said before, ESPN rarely gave the Irish any love before this year, but they are now and it's strictly for the money so I wouldn't let it bother you.

No Florida Atlantics, Western Carolinas, or Western Kentuckys but plenty of Purdues, Boston Colleges, and Wake Forrests...at least Western Kentucky is going bowling, not something you can say for Boston College. And how many LSU, Georgia, or Texas A&Ms were on Notre Dame's schedule again?

I'm not about to degrade Notre Dame's season, they went undefeated, they deserve to be there but some of the things I hear about them from the talking heads is really getting on my nerves. Primarily Lou Holtz (and others its not just him) using Michigan as a "quality win" for Notre Dame yet saying it wasn't a quality out of conference win for Bama because of how weak the Big 10 is, how the hell does that work?

I had to edit your post just a bit...
